At this point I think Overpressure just needs to be taken away from the York lmao... I'm very glad it is a strong AA at this BR, but what it does to tanks is no good 😂😂

that’s what gaijin get’s for removing it’s ap but didn’t they add a game mechanic where now rounds progressively chisel away at amour in this update

We have noticed a high destruction rate of Russian top-tier MBT's. To counter this, Russian MBT's will now get a special resistance to overpressure, and be able to replenish ERA at cap points. Also, on an unrelated note, the The Ho-Ro will lose 3 seconds of reload time.
Don't forget the part where they also now make all Russian MBT's start with APFSDS as opposed to HEATFS. And that all non Russian tanks will now need to grind 2 extra shells to reach their first APFSDS shell.

Also this is likely because those nations' tanks never used HEATFS. Because as you may notice they not only do not start stock with HEATFS, they outright don't HAVE HEATFS. The only swedish tank that does have HEATFS in top tier is literally just a leopard 2a6 which they got with the finns.
They both only have HE/HESH as alternatives to HEATFS. And I think we can both agree that having the challenger 2 using HESH trying to fight MBT's would be a bit unfair lol.
Even better, "we've seen that the 2s38 has been overperforming so to compensate we have nerfed the hstv-l"

Yes because overpressure works in a way where: when the round explodes, any crew that can be traced with a line and does not interfere with armor, it will overpressure them. So in this case, he was shooting the engine deck, where you can trace the engine deck and the driver without interfering with any armor, but to get to the turret crew with a line, it would have to go through turret armor, so the turret crew doesn't get overpressure. That's how overpressure works.
And since he was hitting the fuel tank, it exploded

the radar unit is actually very good, it's just the engineers forgot to account for it being on the ground and not thousands of ft in the air on a F-16, so for some 9,000 IQ reason they forgot to do any sort of filter for ground clutter and all that. absolute typical gigachad american engineering at work.

I love how gaijin ensures SPAA isn't fully effective against air but makes sure they are against tanks.
Really would be lovely to have SPAA that can outrange helicopters.
a lot can lol, anything with missiles with a range more than 8km will outrange any heli except the 9K127 and AKD-10, which have 10km range, but still, TOR-M1 has 12km range, ADATS has 10km range FlaRakRad has 12km range and ItO 90 has 12km range aswell
@@danko8983 how unfortunate then that several of those SPAA are a higher battlerating than the helis that can sit at 10km range. Not to mention several helis at 8.0 area that have ATGM's. Tell me, what is my m163 to do about the heli sitting so far away that my shells explode before they reach the heli?

@@marczev I also just checked a fun one and the LAV-AD is a 10.0, that's the first missile SPAA the US gets. (I can't be bothered checking all nations for their helis and SPAA and their battleratings) and the ruskis and germans can get an MI-24 that still outranges the stinger. (not to mention that locking IR missiles onto a helicopter is agony because gaijin seems to have the opinion that helis do not have a heat signature)
york overpressuring ussr mbts has always been a thing cuz their breach is considered internal module but its coming outside. however, for leo2s i found out that they have a very small hitbox where they get overpressured on an absurd angle. I once had an atgm loaded and i shot and hit the side of it (big angle, almost ricochet) and from that explosion it overpressured. weird sht

I mean to be fair... I think a even an MBT getting sprayed with a hundred 40mm shells is probably going to be combat ineffective if not knocked out. I can see it breaking barrels, breaking optics, tracks, road wheels, and all around breaking things if not actually killing the crew inside.
to be fair, a tracking shot is enough to "disble" a MBT on the battle field, so...WT is just a game, and not even a good one in that regard

I am actually happy this thing is pretty good now since it's easy to die just shoot front turret and ammo explodes but gaijin still has the totally not OP Russian light at 9.7 that's better than the HSTVL and Otomatic that are both 10.7 IIRC
HSTVL has better survivability and a more reliable AFFSDS round.
The Otomatic is still a good AA, like what it's supposed to be.
(yeah, i know the S3M523869234 or whatever is also supposed to be an AA but that wouldn't sell any numbers)
Fighting that thing is incredibly easy and you win 9/10 matches now when you have to fight the thing because everyone that plays them sucks in playing them.
@@bagofsunshine3916 excuse me, are we talking about the same hstvl? You know...the one that has terrible side armor that can be penned with .50 cals, and has a VERY unreliable round.
@@cookiecracker2 It rarely ever dies in 1 shot both from the front and side because no armor = best armor still applies. Only with a 120mm APFSDS trough the engine front the front does it usually die in 1 shot.
ALso if you think that things gun is unreliable i don't recommend you play the PUMA, on the new Russian thing you get the APCBC shell that even tho has less pen is far more reliable.
except that the puma has much better survivability, and unlike the hstvl puma gun still has some firerate to compensate and FC lockon unlike the hstvl, oh and a LWS to warn u of incoming yeeters in a heli

I mea sure there are times the shot just goes straight though, but all you gotta kill is 2 crew members. Thats a easy 1 shot. Aim for the driver and commander and thats a guaranteed 1 shot.
At least it makes the stock grind bearable

i think whats happening is the round is penetrating the drivers/commanders/gunners optics allowing it to explode inside the tank. could be wrong but thats just my best guess

I have not once overpressured something in the 247, and I rarely do it in regular vehicles too... I must have really bad luck...
