In 2016, I almost lost my life to suicide but the song “hold on” literally, held me on. Edit: august 2024, I am 6 months sober and life is stable. I am my happiest and most content.

So bro, I don't know your religious beliefs or background, or whether you have any or not but l want you to know that life is much more than this day to day suffering that you're experiencing. From what you shared, I resonate deeply with that feeling of just scratching and clawing by day to day, and its pretty rough. But what I've grown to learn as I've gotten the privilege to learn from the way Jesus lived and taught, sometimes It's in the absolute deepest fox holes that we get the chance to ask ourselves fundamental questions like "what on earth are we doing here? and is this it?" I can't imagine what it feels like to reach a point where you wanted to end it all 😢. Man please just read a page or two, or more, please more 😂 of the bible. You'd be surprised that you don't share your experience alone. Sounds extremely cliché but God loves you. Dark moments often produce the most beautiful things and I'm a product of that.
