There is no mission to find diamonds (except the time when Carbonnel asks you to find a case of diamonds outside, which is a payment after your first mission). You will find diamonds hidden at places throughout the map. And no, there is no chronological order as there are no such missions to find diamonds.

@@boiledvaultmuttchop no. But you will have lots of diamonds to spend for your equipment and in the end of the game you will be left with many.

I've just started playing it again on pc but the color is drab however the graphics are really tight. Really fun game
Use real shader sweetfx
and when we collect all the diamonds nothing will happen just like if we investigate all the security posts
In old games you did things for the sake of fun, extra things were there as an something more for the people that really enjoy the game.
