PF Mathews is an author and screenplay writer for movies. He has also written several television serials and collection of short stories. Ee ma yau, the movie written by him was hugely popular. He won the national award for best screenplay for the movie Kutty Srank in 2010. His two novels Chavunilam and Iruttil our Punyalan are very popular among readers. Death happens to be a recurring theme in his novels.
