And credit to Nas, they were at odds at one point, but fortunately met face to face and made peace before 2Pac was gone, and Nas is clearly showing no hard feelings in his willingness to do this and his message; focusing on 2Pac's mother's loss, as opposed to fans loss, was brilliant.
Looking, not just at his music, but at his interviews and various incidents, it seems like 2Pac might be a case example of someone who could have use mental health counseling but probably, sadly never got it. He talked about things he been through, and we even all saw some of it with the robbery shooting, but how much of the mental toll from those experiences went unresolved? He wanted to be a positive, uplifting person, literally telling us "Keep Ya Head Up", but he was also a volatile person, prone to acting out. That fateful night in Vegas, he had criminal cases hanging over him and was technically out on bail at the time, so even if he wasn't worried about retaliation for beating up dude in the casino, he was smart enough to know that doing it in a crowded casino, with cameras, security guards, and witnesses all around, was probably going to get him sent back to prison, it did so for Suge Knight, but, as smart as Tupac was, as foolish and unnecessary as it was, he couldn't control himself in that moment. Next thing we know, despite the huge entourage, retaliation comes and his life ends. I can't help but wonder if he had someone to talk with, help guide him towards being more peaceful and less impulsive, would he have acted differently that night.
