Soph, if you don’t have one already, you should look at the peephole doorbell cameras that Ring makes. It’s perfect for renters since it’s easily removable and you don’t have to drill it into the wall or door. You can talk to whoever rings the bell through the app (or Echo device if you have one). I never answer the door when I’m home alone; I let the doorbell play one of the prerecorded messages. It’s helped my anxiety so much to be able to see who is outside. And good for you for checking with your management company!

Soph, you can never be too careful with things that feel sketchy. I know it’s hard to focus on your safety over offending people, but it only takes one bad encounter to end up in a scary situation. Don’t feel guilty about trying to avoid that. ❤

You should get one of those dog bed/car seat things! it lets him lay down comfy and keeps him still so he’s not moving around so much in the car which increases the car sickness for him!

Hey! Vitamin C really doesn’t show up as a product that helps but it protects the skin barrier and makes you glowy so you probably won’t notice a huge difference with it. Also, moisturizer should be applied last since it’s thicker than serum ❤️❤️ I love watching you!!
I completely agree with you. You need to use vit c for at least 4-6 weeks before you can expect any results. Even though it will only lighten dark spots ever so slightly. I have in salon laser treatments for mine and even after one session, the difference was crazy.

Hey Soph - I wanted to get your attention on the time span of when you walk Auggie after eating. I listened to one of your pods and you mentioned how you take him out after his meal(s) & by no means am I diminishing your care as anyone who sees you with Mr. Auggie man knows you adore him dearly! But I had my own pet care business for a while on and off & one of the biggest thing is walking your dog immediately after eating can cause bloating etc. please reach out to your vet as some will tell you to wait 2 hours and I personally wait 15-20 considering it isn’t a rigorous walk. I just wanted to put that out there!

Hello! The Paula's choice BHA and the La Roche Effeclar are both based on Salicylic acid (BHAs) so I think it's too much to use the same acid twice in one routine. Maybe you could use them on alternate days. Also I'm not sure if I missed that you also put on SPF, but if you're using vitamin c and acids in the morning you should always follow up with SPF because they make your skin more photosensitive and you could get micro sun damage. Others have already said the moisturizer should go after all the serums. As for the brightening of your scarring, it could be the products with salicylic acid you've used because they're generally used for acne and minimise post breakout scarring

hi, I just wanted to say it makes sense that you were nervous and want to be vigilant when it comes to who you let into your place, especially since you're a woman living alone. they usually are supposed to have some type of protocol, like a courtesy call before they plan to enter your apartment or some type of notice beforehand. I think it might be different depending on your state, and the place you're renting from. Usually they can only enter without notice for an emergency, but if you want to, check with your leasing agent, that way you know what your rights are. It may also be stated in the lease.

Augie has the cutest thinnest little tail and when he wags it! He’s too cute. your skin care is ok and even though you’re using 2 BHAs the Paula’s choice is only 2% so it’s mild. You should be using the two serums (acne treatment and the vitamin c) under your moisturizer. They’re too thin to penetrate a moisturizer. Also when you use vitamin c you should be using an SPF. Although everyone should use an SPF regardless.
Salicylic acid gets rid of acne so good!! So it’s prob that Paula’s choice working it’s magic on your acne! ❤
My general rule with skincare is that the thinnest products go first. Like a moisturizer is thicker than a serum so it goes after the serum. The thicker the product, the harder it is for the thin products to penetrate it so it’s best to do the thickest last. Hope that helps!
You should not feel bad for feeling paranoid!! These things happen!! I’m studying criminology and psychology and these types of things are 100% accurate to feel cautious about and should be cautious about. Ringing your leasing agent was definitely the right decision to make. You can never be too careful especially living on your own.

You should get some reusable cotton pads from Amazon!! I love mine and they’re super cute. I just throw them all in the washer once they’re all dirty
I can tell you what will help your skin hand down. I had terrible stuff popping up on my face. My doctor prescribed panoxyl the high strength and prescribed me a gel antibiotic cream for face. I use a homemade “miracle” spray that is good for literally anything. I haven’t had one blemish literally in 6 months. I used to get so bad that I needed drywall spackling just try to get makeup on my face!!!
I recommend getting a car dog bed and a dog seatbelt to help him stay anchored. My dog used to vomit in the car all the time until we did this. It also is *much* safer than having him untethered if you get into an accident. And if you get a bed with a washable cover it’s easy to deal with if he does vomit.

Girl you definitely did the right thing about the maintenance guy! This your home and your safety, and both of those are worth protecting over some dudes mild irritation. It’s not unreasonable for you to ask the office manager to identify the name of who will be coming, their time of expected arrival, and or to request that they have some sort of clear identification. Not a risk worth taking!
