as a fat person who got fat in eating disorder recovery, i REALLY appreciate the way u speak about ur body changing. u don’t use “fat” in a negative way and u really just say “my body is changing and that’s hard” and it genuinely brings tears to my eyes to see a thin person speak about their body changing without being fatphobic

I just wanna say tho that Native Hawaiians have been trying desperately to get people to stop visiting Hawaii because the tourist industry is devastating their natural resources and economies. I know your trip is already happening at this point but maybe afterwards you could make a donation to Native activists or organisations and you could use your platform to encourage other people to stop visiting as well. It’s so urgently important that we listen to them and protect their culture and land so please, please consider this.

You cannot equate the experience of one state to all states, especially as Hawaii is not a continental state and has a vastly different culture and climate to the rest of the US. respect the desires of the people who live there by researching their culture and needs. It’s basic respect not gatekeeping. Gatekeeping would be doing something and not sharing details so that other people can’t do it. This is literally not gatekeeping, it’s protection.
