I’ll have to go through them again. I saw two I liked and one that I think may be in my stocking physically: Halloween/ Ash vs Evil Dead. Always fun, Jay! Thanks!
Dude, Maki looks absolutely ADORABLE! I'm coming off of a big project here in the next week or so, so I'll add that one to my holiday list. Very excited for Anton and Rita's Rewind as well. Excellent coverage as always men!
We also love the Dog Man books! We pick up new ones as they come out even though my kids are a little older now (this is their nostalgia now), so it is very cool to see a game that looks like it represents the books well! We are also excited for its upcoming movie!
My son also loves pilkey especially dog man. When I saw it at Walmart I had to get it for him. He's gonna pee himself when he opens it up on Christmas for his switch!
Personally, I disagree. But that might be because when my kid was younger, we read a LOT of Dog Man and Captain Underpants books. So in my eyes, it stepped directly out of one of Dav Pilkey's books.
Gotta say, Retro Realms was pretty disappointing. I bought the physical edition of both Halloween and Ash vs. The Evil Dead combined, and definitely wasn't worth it. Wait for a sale for either or both. I'm not sure how involved WayForward was in the development, but it doesn't feel as deep as previous WayForward games and their name plus being horror themed is what caught my interest. Heck, WayForward doesn't even list this game on their own website even though they're listed as the primary developer on places like Steam.
"Voidwrought is very similar to Dead Cells except for all the ways that it's not" Voidwrought looks a LOT like Hollow Knight. It doesn't look at all like Dead Cells IMO.
That might be a better comparison. I'm not a huge Hollow Knight fan, so it didn't immediately spring to mind. Combat, jumping, and general level traversal in Voidwrought feels very similar to Dead Cells, which is why it jumped to mind for me.

Thanks Scott!! Happy holidays to you and the family!
@@SquarePegs Thank you, Jay, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all too!
Victory Heat Ralley looks gooood!
I love this hidden gems series! Found many games through your recommendations - and they are often also on Steam (cheaper than on the Switch).

looks nice but is one of the worst games ever!

Great series Jay. Love the video series.
Victory Heat Rally looks good!
It's seriously fun. One of the best racing games I've played in a long time!
I hear really good things about Voidwrought from the metroidvania community
It's solid! I expected it to be phoned in and it's a really well made title. If you dig metroidvanias, it's well worth playing.
The dog man game looks like shovel ware.
But Dadish does not look like much and is fun. Though I think I got Dadish for $99 or so.
7:50 - I'm sorry, but $40 for a game that looks like that is insane.
