I've downloaded and built this over the last month or so, really fun build and I learned a lot, many thanks for putting in the work. I modded the base and fingers to make it 6mm thick, much stiffer and no need for a metal plate.
I've been wanting to build this for a while now for my dad. He had a massive stroke in 2016 and hasn't been able to regain functionality in his left hand (I'm planning on mirroring all of the parts). I finally got a 3D printer in that I am *not* attempting to modify and started working on the parts last night. Really, really appreciate the work you put into this; I can't wait to see my dad able to play games again!

Yes another similar sized Teensy board would work fine, though don't go for the low cost version (LC). Best go for Teensy 4.0 or 4.1, the librarys and firmware will be the same and both supported in the arduino software
Yes, at first I thought it was too expensive but in fact, you alreadt have 40/50€ on in the mouse switches ! You add all screws, 360 stick, printed parts... It would probably be half the price building it yourself.
I own 2 3d printers but decided to just buy an azeron. However I kinda regret going with all black so thank you for this. Hopefully its interchangeable with an actual azeron. If not then whatever I can make a new one. Thanks for all the work!

The board is teensy 2.0 ++, in the guide you can find the wiring diagrams. otherwise you can do the same with arduino, but Leonardo version, because you need a serial HID devices. using arduino you can't use the original Azeron mapping software. the work was a lot for me.

As I went through the files I noted that you put so much dedication and attention to detail while making the 3d models that I feel I'm rippin you off by paying 32 euros. Really fun build! A bit pricy, but I know the creator put hard work into it. If you follow the parts list from Ali express, make sure you also get m1.4x10 screws, as they aren't included in the screw sets that are linked. Was a bummer realizing this and having to wait for them after already waiting. I printed my hand rest out of TPU and it came out great. Squishy and everything. The hardest part is cutting and sanding down the towers, cases and buttons so everything fits; the clearences aren't perfectly realized after printing. But it was fun, and is working great. Thanks Alvaro! Btw, I didn't see a STL for a profile button in the download. Am I blind, or is it not there?

Profile button cap is linked to Aliexpress. someone else wrote in the comments that the cost of the project is too low considering all the work and details... points of views. sanding is necessary when the print is not good, especially PETG or TPU which is not recommended, because it expands. I recommended PLA in the guide. if you used the PLA, you probably need to change the settings of your printer, because the pieces fit perfectly. @@AlvaroRosati I followed all your printing settings, it's just the nature of it that when printng parts, clearences won't be exact when making something like that, not your fault. The sanding was nesseary for me to fit the switches in their slots. I probably should have only done 3 walls, instead of 4 with my printer. What is the best way to send you a photo?

everything you buy is china inside ... my teensy is original, but like most electronic things it is made in china ... it works for over 1 year without ever repairs ... instead i read around that the original keypad often breaks ... PS the plastic only is printed in Latvia ...
Hi the OMRON (indicated in the guide) are excellent and I have been using them for years in other projects. never broken. with the diy project you have the advantage of being able to replace them whenever you need them. 👋🏻
