So easy, my 12-year-old made two in one afternoon. But due to inflation, the buckets are over $5 now =P THANK YOU for this easy and honest tutorial. Going to butcher our first round of meat birds this weekend!

At 6:35 you say you use an angle iron to cut the bucket. 😂 That made my day!

Excellent video. I was ready to press the order button on some cones and my wife sent me this. Easy to follow and saving me quite a bit of change! Appreciate you taking the time to share. Also appreciate you keeping the blooper in. Every other video is always so polished and most people don't like to include the struggles so it makes you, the consumer of the video, feel as though you can't get 'it' together so thanks!!

I am impressed with the antlers in your barn. As a fellow hunter, I know the work that went into those. Even a chip shot in your back yard, still has plenty work involved.

Haha that looked a bit old and brittle but glad you included that in the clip because if you had said not to use an old bucket there would always be someone who wouldn’t listen. To see it happen is always a good teaching tool. You could always use the wife’s blow dryer to warm up the plastic a little making it more pliable

Well I bought one from TSC and it was about $50ish and was for 8-10 lb birds but I did get the red bucket lol same idea there , so it’s off to TSC tomorrow because most of my birds are half that size and want to slide threw my metal cone, I will make a few in different neck sizes , thanks so much for sharing :-)

A Large size at Mann-Lake (Stromburg) is like 54 bucks, people say the medium is kinda small for broilers. I think the plastic cones cost more than metal. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

I took the real cheap route. Road marker cone, mounted to a fence rail, enlarged the hole, oval shape, pointy end of the cone, with a box cutter/ stanley knife, 30 second job. Can do chickens, larger road marker cone for geese & turkey.

Old sun baked buckets like to shatter like that.. they get brittle in the sun... My friend used to stand on those when he did framing.. until one day one shattered while standing on it and the bucket cut him from his calf to his knee... got a sheet ton of stitches on that one.

I don't know which) LOL But anyway, this is a great video and you saved me some money. I'll be dispatching my first 8 meat birds next week, so I figure one or two cones will be enough for me.
