This music is the perfect track for this fight. Prime and Megatron are fighting over the fate of 2 worlds, cybertron and earth. They both want to see their home returned to its former glory, but megatron has taken it too far. Below you see the Earth being twisted and changed into a metallic world. You see forest dying, cities burning, entire oceans being drained, and you know that among this tens of thousands of people are dying as watch far above it. Cybertron will be reborn, but it will be paid In the blood of billions. Prime tries reason with Megatron, what he is doing is genocide On a planetary scale. He doesn’t care about the planet he’s killing, to him cybertron is the only Thing that matters, everything else is just fuel to keep cybertron on life support. Prime realizes that he cannot save both cybertron and earth, to save one is to let the other to be destroyed. He whoever realizes that earth is far more important, cybertron is about all life, be it metal and gears or flesh and bone. Megtron must be stopped even if it means the destruction of the sum knowledge and culture of his entire home world.
Except when you take into account Megatron’s refusal to return the Ferrotaxis to Cybertron, his sadistic glee at the thought of humanity perishing as a result of his scheme, his stated intent to ‘retake the galaxy,’ and the fact that he wired the Ferrotaxis to ensure that nothing could stop the Insecticons from remaking Earth in his image unless it, and the lost knowledge contained within, was destroyed, you realize that his claims of saving Cybertron are meaningless rhetoric. I just beat the game COMPLETELY and then watched this when there were exactly (yes I counted, and it was surprising to reach the bottom of a comments section) 45 comments, and to go along with about 40 of them; it’s AMAZING how they managed to make the second phase of the final boss fight even cooler that the first phase! Great soundtrack! This is proof that we need an extended version for 15 minutes (at the least)
I think it's because when that guitar kicks, you just get this adrenaline rush to defeat megatron, and the developers made it the fight short, so you just get that feeling of being overpowered and accomplished.

I think I like this version of the final battle theme more because it starts off with boss music and then the typical anime fight music kicks in, while the other version starts with metal music.

this fight makes you feel good when you've beaten the game on every difficulty, such a nostalgic wave, shame I may never get to feel this way again unless the game comes back or even better gets a sequel

I think I like this version of the final battle theme more because it starts off with boss music and then the typical anime fight music kicks in, while the other version starts with metal music.
