Nothing better than sibling harmony. I'm 72 years old and I still remembered every word to this song and generally I can't remember what I had for breakfast. Peace, love, kindness and blessings to all.
SEBS! I'm not just a lifetime fan, I'm friends with the Bellamy Brothers in real life. They are awesome, David was just inducted into the country music songwriters' hall of fame. Howard is a grat guy, fantastic sense of humor! Susan Bellamy is a sweetheart too!
I’ve met the Bellamy Brothers when I was 14. They performed at our fair which wasn’t lined after “I’d I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me”. We toured their bus, took them to the local swimming hole! Great guys and super nice. They probably would remember me but I remember them. Just in case it was the Alcona County Fair in Lincoln Michigan. ❤❤❤❤❤
Oh Sebs …you crack me up …this 71 yr old loves your channel …you are just delightful cuz most of these guys are from my day and I love your reactions…I’m never leaving this channel …❤
Love watching our younger generations mature with the VAST completeness of music and what it does for humanity. Watching you discover country takes me back to when I discovered country and the contentment there. Even when the songs, themselves, are sad, most of us can relate to the "stories". Great stuff.
The best Brothers in the biz!!!!! Love these guys from day 1 - I am 75 & I can still sing along with almost every song!!! I guess you can say they were Southern Rock Pop Country Folk Hippies from Florida!!!!! They were just GOOD!!!!! One can also here their influence in the music of Jimmy Buffet!!! Their song "Old Hippie" a song about a Vietnam veteran, makes me cry every time I hear it due to knowing too many old vets!!!
This was a very popular song, we were spoiled with great music in the 70's, it was really hard to keep up with all of the great groups! And they had to be next to perfect to make it, the standards were high which is why they were all so great!
Hello, The world community has forgotten the Iranian artist Amir tataloo, a singer whose only crime is his voice. The Islamic Republic of Iran has imprisoned him for 10 months. Please don't leave him alone and support him by reacting to his music on TH-cam. This is the only way for the world to see and understand this cruelty.
One of my all time favs, hubs and I were on vacation a few years ago in Florida, stopped by to see a friend and his house was across the road from the Bellamy Brothers property! What fun!
My cousin’s son (back as a teen) was like “WHAAAAAT?” when we told him about that song title. That poor sweet summer child….. we’ve tried to introduce him to their music bit by bit.
I worked security when they performed at a small country western club in Tucson in the mid 80s. Great experience. Loved them before, loved them ever since. Awesome. 😎

I too have a fifth grade sense of humor and love a good double entendre and I LOVE the Bellamy Brothers! So much nostalgia and their positive music is so much fun. I think part of their appeal is that their music has a story and a reason. Their best double entendre song is If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body. It's perfection.
Hey. I just listened to your Glen Campbell /Galveston reaction. Loved Galveston. I like your style so I’m here for the Bellamy brothers, more soundtrack of my youth. I’m 65 now. Takes me back.
I hope you can appreciate ALLLL the great choices we teenagers in the 70s had to choose from where music is concerned. I don't think we knew how lucky we were to be young in that decade. The best decade for music imo. 😉
I do realize now that I'm in my 60s! We were so spoiled - the Bellamy Bros, the Doobies, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and then all of Motown and the Sound Of Philadelphia! I could go on and on,but I won't! Sebs, I'm here to listen to good songs and re-live my enjoyment that I first felt in my teens. I love your positivity and enthusiasm for music! As we said in the 70s, keep on truckin'!! ❤
Been way too long since I've heard this. Made my eyes a bit misty. Missing the "good ole days" all at once. Thank you for this one! Yes, positive. Needed that.
This was Howard and David's first hit! And as soon as it was released it took off all over Europe and most countries in the world! At that time it was classified as pop rock, later became a "country" song. They cannot be placed into any one category, they cover all genres. And even though they are older now, they are still going strong. They've entertained in the majority of the countries in the world, that's how popular their sound is. Great reaction!
My husband and I stopped at a dollar knick knack store not long after we started dating. We picked up a Bellamy Bros CD to listen to on the drive home. "I need more of You" came on and by the end of it we knew it was going to be our song as we realized the words directly mirrored how both of us felt... This year was our 20th anniversary ❤️ 💕
As a DJ, Reggae Cowboy from the BB is one of my favorite up-tempo ChaCha song for country bar dancing. Some guys have the smoothest moves, she looks like a jewelry box ballerina in boots. If you give him the right music bed. 🤨😉 If you've never been to the county dance bar where the DJ is driving the bus, find a Saturday night, a shirt with a collar and go. Be home by midnight, buckle bunnies are on the prowl.
Any Bellamy Brothers is great! React to any and I'll tune in! But for a compilation of the best songs get their Angels and Outlaws album. It's a charity album with songs with some of the GOATS OF MUSIC.
Not only did they record a bunch of hits, they owned Arabian race horses in Ocala. The Kids Of The Baby Boom is my favorite Bellamy Bro song. Whatever they sang was always joyful--no downer stuff from these guys. And they had a GREAT sense of humor. One of the brothers passed away a few years ago--I don't remember which (was raising kids at the time).
Think I've heard 90 percent of their music and I truly love it all. My two personal favorites (in this order), "Crazy From The Heart" and "You Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie". Both of them tug on heart strings. Good pick. Many thanks. 🤘😎❤
Why am I here? Because I really like your style (I think yours was the 2nd channel I ever subscribed to) and because a lot of the music ou react to is from my *ahem* misspent*cough* youth. In 1978, I was 22, was at college, and just got engaged to my husband. Not only are the tunes a walk down memory lane, but your (and others') reactions finally make me listen to the lyrics -- something that often gets lost when you're just bopping along to a good tune. So thank you and your fellow reactioners for taking me back and giving me a whole new experience with some of my long-time favorites!
I love the fact you love my generations music. What I love most is how you can hear the call for peace at a very turbulent time. Finally, I love you smile and excitement when you hear something that fills your soul. I play trumpet, piano and stage piano (Roland 2000). Your respect for those who can play like yourself, excites. I - IV -V cords and take off.
I had forgotten this song and the artists, but hearing it brought back other memories like "Treat Her Like A Lady" by The Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose. I'm sure many in your audience will fondly remember it and I believe it would be an enjoyable surprise for you, Sebs.
This girl (at 62 😂) was the musical oddball amongst my friends in the 70's. I had the albums no one ever heard of. Check out: Donnie Iris; I Can't Hear You Frank Zappa; Movin' to Montana Rocky Burnett; Toeing the Line Steve Forbert; Romeo's Tune or Complications. Even if you don't highlight them, you might enjoy the listens 🎶
Their album, Rebels Without a Clue, is one of my favorite albums. I refer to it as their mid-life crises album, but the lyrics in that album are sooo good. Stayin' in Love, and A Little Naive are both great songs from that album.
Hello, we are the fans of the biggest artist of Iran, Amir Tataloo,he has been arrested and in prison for 10 months, no media has supported him, all his music with English translation is available on his TH-cam, Please see the biography of Amir Tataloo !!
Old hippie is great, any of their stuff is great, but more recently they released a song called “no country music for old men” featuring John Anderson, and it’s the best thing they ever did!
Dude !! So many great songs from them for the play list.. all the ones you listed but also add Mr. Bojangles ... you'll love it !! BOISE neighbor here..
I HIGHLY recommend their songs Old Hippie (parts 1, 2 & 3) The songs are about a Vietnam Veteran 10 years, 20 years & 30 years after coming home that war. Can not recommend enough
Oh, this song came out when my future husband and I were dating. We were heavy rock listeners but this one and the song afternoon delight seemed to be made just for us. We are going on 48 years of marriage;)
A great Bellamy brothers tune is Guilty of a Crime with the Bacon Brothers, as in Kevin Bacon. Going my way, Not born to beauty, New Year’s Day, Ten years in Mexico…
Yes, a great collaboration! The video for Guilty Of The Crime was filmed in an old prison, and Shannon Doherty starred in the video. Again, great harmonies!
Nothing better than sibling harmony. I'm 72 years old and I still remembered every word to this song and generally I can't remember what I had for breakfast. Peace, love, kindness and blessings to all.
Same! I'm 57 and every word just came out of my mouth. "Let the words flow..." ;) A simple and innocent part of my childhood. Ahhhh.
SEBS! I'm not just a lifetime fan, I'm friends with the Bellamy Brothers in real life. They are awesome, David was just inducted into the country music songwriters' hall of fame. Howard is a grat guy, fantastic sense of humor! Susan Bellamy is a sweetheart too!
Pretty cool.
I just found out today that they performed @ a festival in SA last weekend. So sad I missed it!
❤What a great connection, thanks for some interesting info, they're amazingly talented!!🤘🎶🥰

Can you imagine what the world would be like if people actually took this song to heart? Omg, peace!!

This a simple happy song. If you feel bad, this song will make you feel better. I can’t think of anything better to aspire to as an entertainer.
OMG! I loved the Bellamy Brothers! Great song and great voices!

One of my all time favorite groups. You can’t go wrong with any of their hits. Always great listening for a 70 years old man.
FAVORITES, "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body and "Old Hippy".
This was one of my favorites, sent a double message!

It was awesome hearing these guys on the radio!
Sounds of my teen years ❤
The joy was contagious from the Bellamy Brothers to you and to us.
Can’t go wrong with any of their songs!❤❤❤
I'm so happy you are getting to experience a lot of this wonderful music and life experiences.
I don't know who could listen to this without smiling
I clicked on this one because I just love this song and who doesn't. Yes its so positive and filled with light. *smile*

Always loved this song! I jave a memory of my Dad washing our 1968 Buick Skylark with the radio playing this song!
Yes I'm a big Bellamy Brothers fan.
Old Hippie is my favorite of their songs.
Believe me, late 70's early 80's Love was Flowing!!!
Also cocaine. Like, a lot of cocaine. 😂😂😂

One of my favorite Bellamy Brothers songs. Like The Everly Brothers, their harmonies are so great.
My personal favorite is "You ain't just whistling Dixie"
Mine too! ❤
They had a large number of songs that you wanted to listen too and sing along with and got you excited.

Siblings can harmonize in a way other groups can’t.

Like the Bee Gees! Maybe that is why Bill and Bobby presented as Righteous BROTHERS!

This song is on my permanent playlist to pick me up no matter how down I can be. I have a playlist of "happy songs" and this is always on it.
I don't know anything about the Bellamy Brothers, but the song crossed over and was a universal hit.
Old Hippy is a must... and there are at least 2 other parts to that song that carries the story into later years of the hippy life.
