For water pump replacement CHANGE YOUR OIL BEFORE YOU BLEED THE COOLING SYSTEM. I got the engine up to temp to bleed the system. Then I went and got the stuff for an oil change. I remove the oil cap and it was creamy white !!!!! I immediately drained the oil and it was also completely contaminated!!! I drained it changed the oil and filter. Ran it for 3 minutes. Drained it AGAIN STILL WHITE .
Went to the store got two more filters and more oil. Filled it again with new filter and 3/4 quart of trans fluid let it run for 15 minutes drained it and it got better. DRAINED SWAPPED FILTER AGAIN ran it for 10 minutes drained it and then did a final filter and fill. I have videos and photos of the whole ordeal. PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT START UNTIL YOU DRAIN OIL AND REPLACE FILTER. There was very light gold flake in the pan. Which means BEARING material. Final oil change I also added a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer. I hope I'm able to get some years out of the engine. Prices are going up for replacements and they all have higher mileage. $2500 for 140k mile replacement engines..

@@asianmechanicguy6483 I fucked up let it get up to temp shut it off and then did the oil change. Guess what I found milky white all the way on the top end I flushed it three times the last time with 3/4 of a quart of transmission fluid. And the last oil change I added a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer. After the second drain, I looked at the pan and yes there was a little bit of gold flakes Space for sure there was bearing damage but I’ve driven it all week and it seems fine. It probably just won’t last as long as it could have sadly .

My water pump is leaking and I noticed that the engine oil has water mixing with it my friend told it probably was because the water pump was very damaged, do you think he is correct? Thank you.

Not too long, just did mine, replaced the water pump, timing chain tensioner, and thermostat, probably had 4-5 hrs total in it.

Thanks for a great video! Could you please help me identify this bolt on the bottom of my VQ40DE engine? I have replaced the oil cooler gasket and now the leak is fixed! I did notice a loose bolt at the bottom of the engine right behind the oil cooler. Can you tell me what it is and what do I do with it? Here's a video of it: th-cam.com/video/_vYpWKnMCT8/w-d-xo.html
