    You've done a fantastic job with the bike, it looks amazing. I've also got the stage 3 which now puts out 131ftlb of torque, I've also got the rinehart mufflers, I think they sound great, they are loud but not obnoxious, people always turn around when they hear the deep rumble, I've been thinking about going for a 2-1 exhaust as it'll give me even more HP and more torque, but I really love the sound of the bike as it is. The fairing looks great, especially with the paint, I've got the smaller Dougz mini spartan fairing which looks great and does an excellent job of keeping that wind off me, I know I'm keeping mine now, I won't be getting another one seeing as I'm 58 this year, I'm happy with the bike and hope to pass it down to one of my sons. Enjoy your bike and I look forward to seeing more videos of the mighty fatbob.

    Subscribed! I don't normally subscribe to things, but you sold me at "if you have a Fat Bob." I just traded in yesterday for the 2021 Fat Bob, in deadwood green denim. Looking forward to enjoying your videos. Your riding style I've heard you describe in a few videos is quite parallel to mine. Take care!

    Mods 1 through 3 are practical and functional mods. Watching your vids I ended up doing all three. That rear brake lever was especially necessary. I think it actually added to the safety of the ride.

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you, Ken. That rear brake pedal is just stupid horrible. I didn't think it was too bad when I first started riding the bike, but after awhile it was literally painfully obvious that it sits too far forward and too low.

    Thanks for sharing. You just gave me a great idea for my Bob (as simple as it is). I have a Dyna Fatbob but either way, I don't like to use it on longer trips because of my foot position (I'm a short rider). So maybe a couple inches on my risers and some mini boards instead of pegs would make a world of difference for me. It's cheap enough and could solve my comfort issue.... I'll keep you posted

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me know if that works. I've sat on a Dyna Fat Bob but I can barely work those forward controls. I know I'd have to change up the stock setup for sure.

    Thinking about throwing a set of Cruisetec’s on my 2018 Fat Bob 114 and an S&S torque Cam. Would love to hear your long term thoughts your tires! If you had the option to go back would you have went with the 200 in the rear? Love your content my brother! Thanks in advance! Have a great weekend!

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Eric! I love the Cruisetec's and I'm going to stick with them going forward. They did really well on my trip to the Tail of the Dragon. The road on the Dragon was wet for most of the day we were riding it. The Cruisetec's were superb. I'm fairly certain that the stock tires would not have been as stable. Even under dry road conditions.
      I will probably go with a 200 on the rear the next time I need to change them out. I intentionally did not do that on the first go 'round because I wanted to establish a normal baseline for how the Cruisetec's performed. I highly recommend these tires on the Fat Bob.

    When winter ends, I plan on buying a Fat Bob and the dealer has a brand new 2019 in Scorched Orange like yours still in stock, plus a couple of 2020s (river rock denim and a performance orange) and a new 2021 in Vivid Black. I am digging that Scorched Orange colour and it would go with my Orange Reflective Harley vest I wear! The 2019 model is a good deal at the moment. How tall are you? Just wondering about that reach to the brake pedal. Thanks

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm 5'9" tall. I don't think it matters how tall you are though. That stock rear brake pedal just sucks. I'm surprised that they still have a new 2019 Scorched Orange. That was the limited color that year. And it's probably the best orange I've seen. I really don't like that performance orange they put out last year. Let me know when you pull the trigger!

    Thank you for all the great info. I have a 2019 fat bob and I love it. I have a few questions I hope you can help me with. In this video I see you have the original breather. You put slip on’s over the original exhaust. I have the same set up on my 2019 Fat Bob.
    *Was there anything else you had to do or was recommend to do before you did the torque cam upgrade? *
    I ask because I went to Harley about a torque cam upgrade and the service guy told me I had to get a stage 1 with a new breather and new exhaust before the torque upgrade.
    *Are such upgrades necessary?*
    I can go with a new breather. The way the original exhaust looks is something I really love about this bike. That is why I went with slip on’s instead of a whole new exhaust.
    Thank you for your time and help.

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey EL! Thank YOU for supporting the channel!! So do you have a 114? If you have a 114 then you already have a higher flow breather and you do NOT need to replace it to go to a Stage 1 or Stage 2. And you do not need to replace your entire exhaust system in order to put in a torque cam. Here's the video that I did when I installed the torque cam: th-cam.com/video/FgZw6FzD2fw/w-d-xo.html
      You can see from the Dyno charts the gains you get from just slip-ons (in my case, the Rinehart 4.5" cans) and the SE torque cam. The key here is that you need to get the bike tuned. A lot of people say that you don't need to tune an M8 114 Softail if you just replace the mufflers. I (and others) think that's a load of crap. I noticed a big difference after I tuned mine with the slip-ons. I did that about a week after putting on the slip-ons because of the weirdness I felt and all the decel pop. But you definitely need to do a tune after the torque cam upgrade to the be most out of the work that you've done on the bike.
      I hope this helps you some way. But if you have a 114 on the Fat Bob with the stock breather and the dealer told you that you have to replace that to go to a Stage 1 or 2... I'd throw the BS flag at that guy.

    • @EL-pr9un
      @EL-pr9un 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for getting back toe so quickly. I do have the 114. It's a beast as is but I like to over do things. What the dealership was saying did not sound right. Still I am not mechanic so I did some research and your bike is a perfect example of what I am looking for.
      On a different note I saw another video where you went with the TBR 2 in 1. Did that make a difference in performance?
      Again ty

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It did make a difference. And I'm still getting used to it. It pushed the torque and hp higher up in the RPM range. So I'm trying to adjust to keeping maybe 1 gear lower than I was before or hold on to the lower gears longer. It's kinda hard to describe. But the main reason I changed the exhaust was just because I was tired of trying make some of the mods I wanted around compatibility issues with the stock exhaust. Especially bags for long trips.

I will say that I do all the suggested maintenance on schedule, burn premium fuel, and don't beat the engine like an ass when I ride.
