      扦插繁殖不难,温度在25摄氏度左右,湿度大一点,用塑料袋包裹着,以达到小湿室的效果,一般来说25天左右即可长出嫩芽,但最好40天后再分盆

    I had my cuttings using ICU methosd, and they have been sitting there for 2 months now. At first they are growing fine, with the ICU method, but when I removed the cover to check up on the leaves and put little more water, the leaves started to fall out😢
    I put back the cover to try to salvage them, but the other cutting turned moldy or dried 😢

      @ratuldasgupta8177, Please use Aloe Vera gel. It's also okay even if you don't use. Just plant more cuttings. For example, if you plant 10 cuttings, at least 5 would be success. Thank you @Prince-mz9tc, @roni9275, @msg4141 for your inputs. In my experience, Turmeric powder and Cinnamon powder just work as a fungicide. I am an INDIAN and Turmeric powder is being used from very old time. Can we leave the bougainvillea plant in the sand pot to grow or we should transfer it in the soil after it has got leaves.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We would need to transfer to good potting soil mix so that it grows and bloom well. It would just survive in the sand, but won't grow well as sand doesn't contain any nutrients. Hope that helps, thank you!

    When can you see the newly propagated plant start flowering?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Very difficult question to answer as it depends on many factors (time of propagation, types of cuttings you propagated, current environment, soil, variety you propagated, fertilizers, time when you have transplanted..and many other things).....but if you want your cuttings to bloom fast, please avoid repotting in bigger pot initially. Grow them in smaller pot and that way you would get flowers fast. I did the same thing with some of my cuttings here - th-cam.com/video/ZRUFN-8Z8VA/w-d-xo.html
      Having said that, if you propagate from a quality plant and do everything correctly, you should get the first bloom within 60-80 days. I am sure, you are looking for this direct answer. Didn't add it because like I said before, it depends on many many factors. Plus, Bougainvillea blooms well from Aug-Sep to April-May. It's better to grow them from cuttings now and this way, you would get lots of flowers in the season. Summer is the growing time! Good luck :-)

    • @GardeningUpbeat

      Hii....
      Yeah, that's right. They always bloom more. How to identify them - Somewhat difficult if there are not many branches, plant is small and seller is not honest. But still, here I am giving some ideas -
      1. They don't grow like vines. The usual one, grows quite fast and they grow like vines. Less bushy..
      2. Usually costly. For example, in my place the price of the normal one is Rs. 40 - 60. But Tissue cultured varieties are not available less than Rs. 300
      3. Can see more flowers even if the plant is small.
      4. If you look closely, you would be able to identify them based on growing habits. For example, you can check out one of my heavy flowering plants here - th-cam.com/video/ZG5c3I9Q89M/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps..thank you!

    Hey! Would it be possible to give some tips on how to grow Gerberas from seeds?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure..first of all, it's hard to get quality Gerbera seeds as they don't pollinate easily like other flowers. But if you have collected quality seeds, that's a great news.
      - You can see some hairy things attached with the seed
      - Take 80% cocopeat + 20% vermicompost
      - Insert the seed inside the soil media and let the hairy things stay above the soil
      - Keep the seedling tray or pot moist and you can keep under 2-3 hours of direct morning sunlight or in bright light
      - Once you see 3-4 true leaves on your seedling, transplant them.
      I would try to do a video soon..but seeds are costly and that's why, I grow more plants simply by dividing. It's fast :-) In case you want to know how to do it, please watch - th-cam.com/video/z9FZ2j86d7s/w-d-xo.html

      Please do if Humidity level is low in your place and it's bit important in that case. In my place, Humidity level varies from 64.2% to 98.5% and in Summer, on average it's 80%+. So, no need to cover the cuttings after planting them. In your place, if it's less than 50%, please put a jar over them till rooting. I actually provided this info in one of my other videos about Bougainvillea Propagation. But, while editing this video, it went out my mind.
