Chalkstream Guiding At Wherwell On The River Test

Ever wondered what it is like to be guided for the day on a Chalkstream? Fishing in September, two of our fishermen kindly allowed me to film them for a day as I guided them on the Wherwell Estate on the River Test. September always presents its own challenges on the Chalkstreams, but we caught some lovely fish on dry fly and nymphs and had great fun fishing together. A guide is your eyes and ears, mentor, fishing companion, fly tyer, detangler, netsman and can make you a more efficient fisherman to maximise your time on the water.

You should always wear boots and cover your legs whilst fishing. Deer ticks and consequently Lymes disease are a constant danger these days
