Speaking with normies, for them anime as a whole is a "gay thing". So, "I'm a guy and I like Sailor Moon" doesn't change anything. Not to mention, the idea of "breaking gender roles with male Sailor Moon fans" does sound extremely silly and childish.
My favorite arc reinterpreted!!! As much as I'd like this to have been another season, I'm just glad that they are doing the Dead Moon Circus arc! My favorite group of villains in Sailor Moon. Such 90s nostalgia.

I’m just going to admit it. I saw Pegasus and immediately started crying. That entire arc saved my life when I was not even a teenager. I owe my literal life to Pegasus, Super Sailor “Mini” Moon, and Super Sailor Moon. I don’t want any negativity on my comment; I took a lot of courage to say that in a public space like this. I’m sure my precious memory will be done justice. I’m looking forward to seeing this beautiful motion picture event.

The new version is just a retelling so there really isn't much difference between the two as far as story elements.
@@peacockmaster This is essentially season 4 of the Sailor Moon Crystals reboot. The reboots are the old series but the artwork and storyline from the manga are adhered to more carefully. I believe season 1-3 of SM Crystal are on Hulu, but since this is a season in two films probably works as a stand-alone if you are familiar with the storylines of season 1-3 of the original series.

We are actually angry at this. Not the movie itself, but the fact that the movie is going to be on Netflix despite Hulu having Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal. That would be like if Netflix has the Naruto movies, while Hulu has the shows. No one has the money to subscribe to multiple services.
@@LuigiTheMetal64 i have hulu with ads, netflix and amazon prime. I make $11/ hour. Also Im pretty sure netflix has free trials so just do a free trial when the movie comes out and then cancel after watching it. Theres no reason to be angry about netflix having a sailor moon movie.

Wow, Sailor Moon is still going after all these years. I am original Sailor Moon generation. Long before the naruto kids came long. Back when Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Digimon and Gundam were a few of the main anime that brought anime to the U.S. and other countries. Toonami days. I grew up during the best time for cartoons and anime.
Sailor Moon already came back with the reboot Sailor Moon Crystal in 2014, which these movies are a sequel to.^^ From around 2010 on they produced so much new merch, new live musicals, other live shows, new manga editions, this reboot... So yes, Sailor Moon is still going.^^
The ending makes me sad and I don’t know why but it definitely was not disappointing
The ending was building up the the final arc which comes out this summer. Usagi mentioned how they all have stars in their hearts which is a big part of the next chapter, I won't say anything else because it could be a spoiler

Please consider helping fund the Sailor Moon Stars Arc as a film or series. It took Toei five years to release this arc after the third and we fans were afraid it would never happen.
The next arc is the final one and we would love to see it on Netflix again!
It said "to be continued" in the Japanese cinema version, so the Stars Arc will come.^^ Yes, it took a long time for Eternal to come, but maybe it just needed a lot of planning. They actually gave an update on the movies every year and said they were still working on them. I think most people didn't know about that and therefore gave up hope.

I remember watching this as a kid back in the mid to late 90s. I vaguely remember much from it except Sailor Moon, herself, Luna and the theme song. I may revisit it at some point.
It feels good to see the Viz voices are in this movie. After listening to them for so long it wouldn’t be the same without them.
I agree. I really adore the Viz VAs, they really fit their roles. Most people say they lack emotion, but to me they actually have more emotion than the sub.
