- Lana Del Rey is amazing. Say Yes To Heaven did not disappoint. It made us really think. No matter how wrong we old people are about her lyrical meaning, it is our first reaction. So we don't want to hear how wrong we are. Lol
We hear that a lot in our reactions. Old people come from a different space in life. We have a ton of experiences to draw from. We analyze like crazy. If the lyrics are not deep, we still take them as deep and analyze them based on our experiences. We cannot help it.

i believe say yes to heaven its about K (a boyfriend lana had and was sentenced to the death row) and Lana refers to herself as heaven and implores to K to accept her, there’s a lot of songs about K (born to die, blue jeans, basically half of lana’s discography it’s about K) and usually when lana talks about heaven it’s a reference to K

Hello! She's totally right, she's saying yes to God! Lana doesn't always talk about relationship with guys, although they are about eelations: with God, with alcohol, with her family or her mother. It'd be so cool if you react to her song Bel Air, it's a conversation between her and God and it's beautiful!

@@Bardibaby saying yes to heaven could be the same as saying yes to her in the sense that she wants this person to accept God in order for her to be with this person. Or, if for whatever reason you wanna remove God from the equation, it still means she wants this person to say yes to a certain lifestyle (or for this person to let go of bad habits and whatnot), because that's the requirement, it's her condition now that she herself has changed her ways. "If you dance I'll dance, if you don't I'll dance anyway. Give peace a chance, let the fear you have fall away". She's getting spiritual in this song, it's silly to deny that.

@@Matthew-ij3zm i totally agree! There's a clearly religious/spiritual theme, and even if she's not talking about God itself, it's about this "good, peaceful, spiritual" lifestyle. But I still belive this is about God talking to her "I got a eye on you, say yes to heaven, say yes to me, I'll be with you whatever you do and I'll be your" ride or die".

I feel that the entire song up until the instrumental is God speaking to her. She then reiterates what God has said: “If you dance I’ll dance” The part where she sings: “I’ll put my red dress and and get it on” the colour red in the bible symbolises life, death, sacrifice. Prior to the New Testament, we would have to pay the debt of our sins in some form of sacrifice(blood sacrifice), however, when Jesus died on the cross for our sins and spilt his own blood, we are forgiven for believing in Him. The line goes on to say: “It doesn’t matter now it’s all gone” God consoles her and tells her she no longer needs to pay for her sins in blood as Jesus himself paid in blood. Her sins are forgiven through Christ. ✝️🙏🏽
