Great breakdown of #22's shooting. A couple of things that stand out about this phenomenal young lady: - because she excelled at European football as well, she developed perfect control of her torso and legs, her coordination is immaculate. This favors how she sprints but also how she goes from a standstill moment to full on acceleration - look at her arms and shoulders. You see well developed triceps, front deltoids and outer pecs. This enables her QB like passing but with both hands, across the court. It also allows her to shoot with one hand and arm, while the other hand is simply guiding The majority of female players (not A'ja, Napheesa or Plum, for sure) use BOTH hands. The guiding hand is not clearly a guiding hand. They lack power and proper positioning. Take Drake's Kate Dinnebier. Shoots with both hands flat, especially in FTs. Take Iowa's Lucy Olsen. She has a clearly defined guiding hand which sometimes she also uses for power when shooting at the basket. But she has to involve the whole torso (pecs, lats, shoulders and obliques) to shoot a ball across the court - she lacks muscle mass and coordination and compensates for that. Caitlin Clark is a perfect athlete. On top of that foundation, she built exquisite skills. And on top of physique and skill, she added fast thinking, superb situational awareness and court reading. She is the female version of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi in basketball.
Excelent breakdown! 5/5🎉 I want to say that I though that her shoot was pretier like the thompson's shot(perfect) that you showed. I noticed that the arc wasnt that high but my sensation was that she has like a perfect school type of form on, like every move like the books.. (it may be in the rest in the move idk it may be a good breakdown passes and dribbling) Also something that i saw on the vid is that when she set the ball on the left side of her face she is watching the rim with her rigth eye similar to a scoop on a sniper or an archer Buen video muchas gracias y suerte!
Great stuff i’m always working on my form and I usually watch slow motions of shooters to see what they do but It’s nice to find a video doing it for me, thanks.
@ericMT No! GOAT! This is how basketball is played. The woman of the WNBA are FAR beneath Clark; she's on a level of her own; 63 records as a ROOKIE?!!!! I saw a breakdown of ALL the MVP rookie years; she, again, was in a league of her own. Blew ALL of them away. Check Aja's stats against Clark's (2024). Clark beat her in almost every category and, well, we know her "value" FAR exceeded Aja's, yet she was denied MVP. She was the TRUE MVP of the 2024 season, as well as the ROTY! They've sabotaged her from the moment she was drafted; even her coach and teammates! She should have 4-5 triple doubles, but Sides would pull her to prevent her from getting it and her "professional" teammates couldn't handle the "rookies" stunning passes! I would venture to say 93% of her turnovers were because her teammates weren't used to her high-level passes!
Who in recent memory, as a rookie, has sold out games both home and away, and broken every viewership record and set new play stat standards, despite playing against superstar mainstays and so-called greats of the game?
Last I looked, she shot a terrible percentage and turned the ball over almost as much as she created assists. Extremely overrated the groupies just won’t Admit when they were wrong.
At least try to be fair and reasonable. If you actually watch the games and not just look up a couple of stats, then you'll see a very different picture. But stats are important so let's take a closer look: 1) High turnover rates tend to come with aggressive play, as do high assist rates. This year she set assist records, including leading the league, despite having team mates who at first couldn't catch her passes. That's a big part of the turnover rate but haters won't tell you that. 2) Take a closer look at the season. She ended with a 34% three point rate, but led the league and broke the record for most threes made. For a better understanding, consider that she came off a full championship run college season, and that she had no real rest before beginning the WNBA season. Look at the season as if it was two seasons, pre-Olympic break and post-Olympic break. It's almost as if they were different seasons. The rest and refocusing made a huge difference, and I watched almost the entire season. Pre-break avg: 17 points, 8 assists, 40/32/87 Team record: 11-15 Post-break avg: 23 points, 9 assists, 44/39/93 Team record: 9-5 Considering points made and assists made, that's about 45% of the team's total offensive output. That's far above anyone else in the league, not just this year but every year in WNBA history. Do you still believe she's overrated?

Very very interesting and appreciated. Steph said someone did a release comparison and stated his and Caitlins were almost identical.
As others have noticed....great analysis!!!

🤔🤔🤔
NOBODY!
Great video! Now do one for Angel Reese since all the experts on ESPN kept telling us she was just as good or better.
Wow...❤
Nice 👍
Do you want to know why she steps left? Because she is right eye dominant.
That slight angle is so she can see the hoop
Her Guide hand actually does assist with ball with a thumb flick, which is a huge no-no, until the Goddess herself proved it can be done.
my man, can you do curry?
In a way he just did.
@ yeah
Bro pls do Kevin Durant
Lamelo ball pls
Next up, Angel Reese complete rebound form.
This is years of practice type shiht
