Good thing my P71 came with the spotlight still attached. No handle, but I jacked one from a wrecked P71 at Pick n Pull. Had my P71 just had a hole, I'd have installed a whole spotlight and called it a boom done. I'm much better at replacing parts than I am body work.
I really would rather put a spotlight there, but they are ridiculously high to get one that "fits" and I'm not sure if I'm ready to gamble trying to put one from a Vic or Tahoe there.
I've still got the spotlight in mine, but it's old and doesn't look the best. I thought about removing it because I wanted to install a trans temp and oil pressure gauge on the pillar. Mine doesn't have the drilled hole, it's more of a half moon cut out on the door frame.
this stuff would probably repair the half moon shape too. It would take a bit more finesse to get it right. Maybe use tape to hold the shape when installing it?

I knew I was going to put a spotlight in eventually, but you're right, if this was going to be a permanent fill (like I did on the Taurus Interceptor) I would have filled everything
@@WJHandyDad dam man I hope u post that soon.. I have a Tahoe now I got due to having a 2 door daily and a 2.5 year old so it’s was super uncomfortable.. police Tahoe .. that spot light man, idk I’m trying to get rid of it..
@@youhappyf0o the process was pretty straightforward... fill with the epoxy, then fill the blemishes with bondo. Sand. Touch up with spot filler or whatever, Sand, prime, paint.
you can do this anywhere on the vehicle that you need to fill a hole. It's by far the cheapest and easiest method to fill holes that also holds up and is strong
@@WJHandyDad I actually do my own DIY body work and have zero autobody professional experience; yet my work looks blended. Your work looks like a child put "Silly putty" on the hole.
so you are looking for this type of fix: th-cam.com/video/B3ao--6K07E/w-d-xo.html what is shown in the video you are complaining about is a cheap and quick repair that is better than stuffing the hole with RTV or covering it with a sticker

Smashed the like button for the EZ Break Clips ad actor, his glasses and voice.

my 180IQ and face for radio thanks you
I had a hole in my cvpi so I brought a led spotlight for it..I never use it tho lol
yeah, I put the spotlight back in my 2010 P7B but I haven't ever used it... I really like the look of having a spotlight
Lmaoooooo that intro had me rolling
Why do all that then leave the screws in? Unscrew them and fill them as well if you're doing this.
I knew I was going to put a spotlight in eventually, but you're right, if this was going to be a permanent fill (like I did on the Taurus Interceptor) I would have filled everything
Mine doesn’t have the silicone, just a hole, would it still work if I used that numetal product?
yeah, the silicone was just a temporary filler. You'll be better off not having to clean it off. The Numetal really does a nice job of filling.
Ha ha...love youre intro.
Would you use Jb weld Steele stick epoxy putty? Then bondo over and paint ? Thinking of putting it on the inside rather than outside..
I did that on my Taurus and it came out pretty nicely. I think I filmed video of it just haven't edited yet.

Cleatus, watch out if you hear banjos playing :)
Yo.
Why not do the same to the screw holes?

That look absolutely horrible. How does this guy have a channel?
it's a DIY fix for less than $25. If you want it to look like a brand new car you're gonna need to go to an expensive body shop

Looks bad
it's a cheap fix... if you want it to look good you need to sand and paint
