This video shows Spider-Man critically wounded by Otto Octavius after defeating Martin Lee in Marvel's Spider-Man. I typically do this cutscene with the negative suit, it makes peter pop on the screen better with the glowing effects from the suit and it makes sense in a narrative sense since Li was still connected to Peter in showing that negative space.

Loved this game, it was a masterpiece. Great graphics, controls, storyline, it had it all. You can totally tell the creators didn't just slap something together knowing you'd buy it. They put some real thought and effort into this.

What I never understood is how spiderman ever had a problem with this dude. Spiderman is strong enough that if he didnt pull his punch, he could actually hurt thor, maybe even really badly. He can lift 25,000lb ffs, he should be able to literally just grab one of ottos arms and break the metal right in half. He should be able to grab one with both hands and swing otto around like a ragdoll. Hell, with his armored suit, he should be able to simply deflect any of ottos arms when they come at him with minimal effort.

He got his ass kicked by 6 villains before this and had numerous broken bones and was still going through all the story stuff plus side content. They make a pretty big deal about the interface with his brain and the arms being faster than neurons move.

SPOILERS BELOW
Sinister Six get formed at the end of Act 2, you don't actually ever fight them all at once though, it's just a scripted cutscene "battle" where they beat you up. Throughout Act 3 of the game you fight members of Sinister 6 in groups of 2 (Electro & Vulture and then Rhino & Scorpion) and then the end of the game itself is Negative Man which is interrupted by Doc Ock beating you up (the video you're watching here), after this cinematic ends you go make a new suit and then go chase Doc Ock, after that fight with Ock, the game ends. Theres only one "final fight" and it's 1v1 with Doc Ock.

This is just dumb. Earlier in the game during the fight with the Shocker , Spider-Man was thrown with such force that he broke THE METALLIC VAULT DOOR - and he began fighting right away like nothing happened. Here he almost dies because he hit the ground. Sweet comic need for drama.

He had been fighting all day, Vulture and Shocker, Rhino and Scorpion especially when just hours before his match against Vulture and Shocker he was poisoned from Scorpion. Now in the end injured and tired he fought Martin man and Martin Lee himself.

Yeah, what the replies are saying. Then take into account that Peter was probably being hesitant about hurting ock, and then there's the added detail of the Arms beings made of metal and smashing him on other shark objects.

Earlier in the game when he fought Shocker he wasn't injured and worn out, but here he was fighting Doc after he was ambushed by the sinister six, getting 14 bones broken and then proceeded to fight all of them one by one in a single night.. in this scene he already defeated Li which was probably what worn him out completely so its understandable he would almost die while being in a very weak state.
