It brings back memories. I had a silver 1980 TE71, which in Norway meant "liftback" and it had a T engine at 1.6L. The other variants had the K engine at 1.2L or 1.3L (don't remember exactly) which had the type codes KE70 (sedan) and KE75 (KE76?) (station wagon). I believe the "E" simply meant the Corolla, which it had been at least since the early 70s (the KE20 for example). I was a nice car to drive for its time, but it rusted way too fast! What are the specs of this specimen?
Niceee my father has the same model still now and he is currently restoring it but he is having problems with the interior and the exterior black lines on the side any suggestion on how he can restore the interior of that car thanks :D the paint is blue with a double silver stripes in the middle and a fender mirror out front rathen than a side mirror :D
