Toyota AE86 Drifting. Drift Legend Corolla Levin & Sprinter Trueno

The Toyota Corolla AE86 is a two-door, rear-wheel drive, front-engine, sports coupé and liftback produced between 1983 and 1987. Two different bodies were placed on the AE86 base: the Toyota Corolla Levin and the Toyota Sprinter Trueno. Their only visual difference was that the Levin had standard headlights, while the Trueno had retractable ones. It was equipped with a 1.6-litre 4AGE engine generating around 120 hp in stock condition, some markets received even less powerful engines. The car weighs less than a ton (2200lb), resulting in a decent power-to-weight ratio. This Corolla has a solid rear axle and a short wheelbase. These traits mean that its handling on the edge is quite twitchy. Drifting in a Corolla doesn't rely as much on the handbrake or power. if there's no AE86, they will be no drifting style on this world. Since the Drift style founder Keinichi tsuchiya (Drift King) use his own AE86 for the video that he make about introducing drifting style

No one really knows who started the "drift culture", but many took inspiration from Kunimitsu Takahashi. Keiichi just made it even popular. He started to drift when it was still an underground thing.
