Thanks, I love tile-laying games and this one looks unique, (and pretty), in some interesting ways. It is great to see non polyomono shapes, and the scoring system looks interesting but fairly easy to understand. There seems to be a balance between scoring points and gaining petals that allow flexibility that I could not quite understand. Does trying to strike a balance between gaining points and petals feel like a significant part of the game to you?.
I would say it's one of the central parts of the game because without the right color of petals, you won't be able to score points when you enclose a tile. So you're always trying to find the right placements to get the petals you need, while also trying to score the most points. It's an intriguing give and take that requires some cleaver placements to pull off. Your best move isn't always obvious!
Sam (my non-gamer wife in the video) actually got this one really quick and outplayed me in it, so I think it looks confusing at first but it's not that bad actually!
I early bird backed the wood edition as we also like tile laying. The art is something we like a lot.
