I didn't have to wait long for my parts to arrive which was very welcome because we had moved very quickly from a leak to having no water. It took me considerably longer than 8 minutes to perform the repair that was largely die to the location of the boiler meaning I had to perform some impromptu yoga stretches to access the underside. All in all, I am very pleased with the outcome and the significant money saved.
Excellent part saved me alot of money wasn't to difficult if the instructions are followed correctly, tools worked great. If your having issues with diverter valve then watch this guy and purchase the part.
Superb kit that saved me an absolute fortune, excellent customer service and simple to use! Would recommend to anyone having problems with a diverter valves.
Yup worked a treat. I would say, it's not 100% clear on the video how to get the motor detached from the valve as it looks like it just pulls out. It doesnt; watch how to attach the puller to the valve stem and do the reverse action to get the motor off the valve. Otherwise, grab plenty of towels (I had a mini flood when pulled the valve out), and save yourself a chunk of cash.
Question: How do you know if the actuator is working? Can you see it moving at all? Could be faulty motor! My problem is that the valve does not seem to divert water round the heat exchanger when hot water is called for. When using preheat it cycles on and off pumping water round the radiators! I cant see the plunger properly but hard to see if its going in and out even though the motor 'buzzes'.
Hi John, You can see if the pin is moving by looking through the small inspection hole on the valve body. Sounds like its not moving so its either stuck, the motor has failed or the PCB has failed. Get an engineer to take a look. Regards Donald.
@@FitOnce yes I see its not moving, but there is a faint noise from the motor but not as loud as it usually is. Vaillant put a new valve and pressure switch in so you would assume it should work! He said it was but it wasnt! Now they wont come back because they say that although the boiler is safe to use, its 'beyond economical repair' why? Because the foam insulation on the sides has crumbled and now new side panels are obsolete! So apparently £2 grand + to get a new boiler and scrap the one thats working and safe! Madness or what!

Thanks Davin. I have now posted a separate video that shows how the motor is connected to the pin: th-cam.com/video/AvMHBys0Lgs/w-d-xo.html
Great video thank you 👍🏻
My pleasure!
