This was MY introduction to Pentatonix when it was released in 2013. I love Wizard of Oz and my friends knew I loved a cappella so they posted this on my Facebook - Pentahloic ever since!
So wonderful so entertaining...Todrick Hall also does a kind of parody of PTX as well that is so entertaining. PTX loved it. I love the part with Kirstin saying..I Like your beard as she enters as wicked witch, that made me laugh! That ending with Judy Garland and co. AVI's BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this video. They are all so talented. Todrick is genius in arranging and writing music/songs. Of course PTX is just amazing. It does leave you very happy. I use it when I am in need of a perk up.
Isn’t it fun how PTX always gives us a surprise! I cant get over how well they picked the songs that retold the story so well! The transition from Scott to Mitch with the “do you” was brilliant! Notice too Scott, the scarecrow wanted a brain so his song said “I’m thinking about” and Mitch, the tinman wanted a heart, so his words “my heart is damaged” Then Kirstin sings “you’re lying on the cold hard ground” to Avi who is a”lion on the ground” ....just so so so well played! Kirstin dreamt of being on Broadway (which she has done now) so she was spectacular! A full production! Is there anything PTX can’t do? Nope. Now you know why comments after the Home medley was released said it gave Pentaholics “the Wizard of Ahhhs feeling” from the home songs at the end! So glad you enjoyed!
Loved your face when Kirsty switched from over the rainbow to blown away! And I always appreciate your WIDE grin when you hear / listen to pat. Thanx for letting us in on your reactions.
Todrick Hall really is a genius. He has really done it all. He has done a bunch of twists on Disney stuff mashed up with Broadway and Pop a great example is Spell Block Tango. His 4 Series is not to be missed, 4 Beyonce, 4 the Ninties and many more. He did a visual album called Straight Outa Oz that takes bits and pieces from the Wizard af Oz and applies it to his Life story. Ith album is brilliant it covers topics of racism, homophobia, the way Hollywood takes advantage and abuses young hopefuls. I also has guests like Nichole Scherzinger, Superfruit with Kirsti, and RuPaul. Pleas look at more of his work, it is brilliant.
Who knew you could tell the whole story of the Wizard of OZ in 7 minutes. Toddy is definately someone to dive into. His Black and White with Mitch/Kirstin/Scott is great and the song Wrong Bitch is awesome buy him.
Todrick's entire Straight Outta Oz visual album (which includes Black and White and Wrong Bitch) is brilliant. Love all the tracks but my personal favourite is Papi (feat. Nicole Scherzinger).

I love this so much. I don't know why, but I always get a little emotional at the end when they're showing clips from the movie. I guess it's because the movie has always been a favorite since I was little. But this is such a wonderful video. Todrick is a genius. And Pentatonix is always great. Great reaction.

That was the original “Wizard of Oz” at the end. The movie came out in 1939 starring Judy Garland.
There was an even earlier version that was done in the 20's.

Todrick is a Broadway star. This masterpiece of his deserves to be on Broadway, too. He's done so much since season 9 of American Idol.
