You just made my executive disfunction come back online with a little hope for my life....i don't even know how this ended up in my feed but it's inspired some ideas and applications for my life. ❤
We have decided to move forward with the 2 Bin system for most of our inventory management. My question is, how do you make the kanban cards when most companies have hundreds or thousands of parts. QUESTION: Is there an automated system that is used to make the cards "automatically" from a master parts list (excel) to pull the required information onto the card or is it all done manually card by card? Thank you for your videos and sharing all these amazing ideas, i just need a little understanding of how to tackle the card creation.
Hi Duane, some projects need a 'lean holiday' and for us this was one of those times, we removed a few people from production and manually made our way through thousands of laminated Kanbans. Email us at info@leanmadesimple.com and we can share some of our templates :)
Well, you risk being out of stock in kanban. We are currently facing one. As D365 is very restrictive, so when you set default qty for 500 (like packsize) you cannot transfer less or more. You need to take the exact 500 pcs. This makes the situation, when you have 495 pcs on stock, you have frozen material.
Great video but there is missing information. You didn’t explain where does the empty bin go? Who and how do you reorder? What happens when something doesn’t fit in a bin like a large pallet? I assume the pallet then becomes the bin? Thanks for sharing 😀
Hi Edwin, the kanban gets collected twice daily by our kanban manager, the cards waits at an order kanban area until the goods are received this it goes back on the back bin. Yes not everything fits in an actual bin so we have a two pallet system, two racks system, two box system etc. It’s a flexible system that works for every type of component. Let one know if you want more info. Thanks!
Thankyou for watching, Purchase Orders are created from the Kanban, these link to the invoices. Stock management is handled at the actual 2 bin, no digital system in place yet.
How can I find out what inventory management software is used for ordering, connecting it to the Kanban cards and barcodes, and how to create and print the kanban cards?? I understand the two bin system, but need the fine details of the step by step setup start to end. I'm also curious where to aquire that specific rack model and the bins used here. Any help is appreciated!
@@leanmadesimple Why not just answer the question instead of taking the time to write out a sentence that says to email the question? You could have just answered the question in that same amount of time.

Nice demonstration 😊
Great video. Any reason why no part number on kanban ticket or identification label?

@@leanmadesimple Great information!
Congrats for initiative.
Thank you.
How do you guys interface accounting with your kanban system? My team’s big concern with letting go of ERP/MRP is losing transaction records

Awesome work!

Hi, we would love to help if we can, email us at info@leanmadesimple.com and we can schedule a call!
Where did you get the labels?
We make these, laminated paper with magnetic sheets
What program do you use to make the labels?
Where you buy your bins and racks from?
Also curious to hear what brand of racks you use
The reorder quantity must be triggered with a red bin. Based on you consumption .idk you supply chain but .. that is called a replenishment cycle
What program do you use to make the labels?
We use a Mix of Word Documents & Gemba Docs, gembadocs.com/
How We can Optimize the Sizes and width of bins according to materials.... Have u any New ideas?
Have an example of each size and test with product before making it into a two bin
Nice work, great video explanation. We had same issue with kanban card and when to pull it
Brilliant guys
Do the leprechauns have barcodes too? 🤔
Very nice system.
Where did you get the bins?
Please email your question to info@leanmadesimple.com, we will be happy to share the various types of bins we have and where we purchased them from.

What kind of bins and where did you get them? Thx
correct me if im wrong. but i think the 'bins' is the part of the system, not the physical bins itself.
I am curious about where we can order same supplies. Including the metal sheet that the shelf labels are attached to…
woow
Great ..Should I implement to our drug store ?
