He should actually have 2 victories as he has been national champion in 2016 and in 2017 won the overall Tour de Moroc. Zarai Araya got to 5 stars on my pcm 2022 save (then I was priced out of him). Had both Mansouri's and Byiza too but neither got anywhere useful, fun to see familiar names.
I’ve taken inspiration from this series and last year’s, so I’m trying a save using the Americas. Definitely a bit on the easier side, but it’s a really fun way to play.
As I learn the ropes in my first PCM game I'm definitely liking a longer term save idea (It's my style in FM, OOTP, etc.). Since I'm horrendous at the game I may do an NA focused saved minus the US to start.
Really looking forward to seeing how long it takes for you to turn things around. There seems to be a few things working against you compared to the Dragons series. There will be hope in the upcoming seasons and eventually it will snowball into a huge success.
Hey man. Great series, looking forward to pick up new tricks. A couple of questions: 1) Why WorldDB instead of PCM Daily? 2) Since you have two guys in the break, why don't you sacrifice one to protect the other or to form a mini sprint train?
I've used the WorldDB for years, and have worked directly with a few of the creators on series in the past. 90% of the time I would focus on one rider in the break, however, I wasn't confident in either one of them so I was looking to gain time with each so that if one loses time in a later stage I could hopefully have the other guy still well placed. I did do a mini-sprint train, and that was the main purpose of trying to get two in the break in the first place since without it the one rider would have no chance at winning the sprint on their own.
I want to do a build a nation save with Peru, the extreme of extreme challenges, but someone mentioned to me that the popularity of cycling cannot increase for every nation in the game, only some nations are available for increase. Do you know if that is fixed for PCM23?
It is not fixed. Winning high profile races will increase the popularity of cycling in any nation. Dependent on the current popularity rating will determine how high of profile necessary. For example pop 1 just requires winning any race. Pop 5 territory is winning a monument. It may cap with a TDF overall victory at something like a pop 7.
Astana in original database don't have a u-23 Team... And this game cost 39.9 USD... Maybe make a game free, and buy a mods ? Football Manager have a good orig database, PCM - very very bad.
I understand you want to move seasons along, but you CAN NOT play 3 races and auto the third with such weak riders on a stage with 2 hills, then you sfould have auto the whole thing to save hours instead.trying to save 20 mins and giving it away.

Very interresting project, i might try something similar when i finish my pro-cyclist career. I hope this satisfies the algorithm gods.

I have the World DB active, it's just a shell. When I start new seasons the added races, name corrections, etc., most of that will kick in.

Too big of a train in the final sprint and no clue why you simulated the most difficult stage in that race…
