Spectacular video! great music, cinematography, and of course - top notch riding! Thank you to your entire team . . . damn you guys & gals are just superb!
Hans I am a fan of your videos, they show what MTB is all about. The adventure the discovery the ride. BTW Just got my GT Carbon Sensor. Love it!, keep posting.
Was lucky enough to ride with Runar this august on an Icebike adventure trip. I have ridden a few of cool places, but Iceland by far was an entirely different experience. Park city, Moab, St.Georges, Kingdom trails all fall short of this place.
Just a note on the tunes listed at the end of the film. The bands/tracks are Falling Blind/The Intent (not The Attend), Sykur/Strange Loop (the best track, imo, and as of 12/12/15 available as a free zipped download on their page), Vok/Before, and Agent Fresco/Howls. Great choices for music on this video, as so many these days are annoying dubstep or just misfitted. Enjoy, and Melly Kleesmas.
Amazing video very inspiring. I was planning a similar traverse through Iceland but found that it is not allowed ti use the trail from Ásbyrgi to Dettifoss with a bike...so did you get permission from the Environmental agency?
+Trevor Cobbe I thought the tracks were a particularly fine choice, that Vok one is ace as is the Sykur 'Strange Loop' earlier in the video. Never heard them before.
This was quite a trip! Try to imagine when the photographer tells you to "stay close" to Hans and Steve as they go down a fast flowing single-track :) Yikes ! We are now actively booking mountain bike trips here in Iceland for the summer of 2017. Get in touch if you are interested! runar@icelandunplugged.com or info@icebikeadventures.com Bring your own bike or we arrange one for you. Ride on.
+Robert Andersn I don't know about the first song, but the last 2 are Icelandic bands. Vok and Agent Fresco. Not a huge fan of either one, but sort of cool to use Icelandic music.
+Alex Pavlov well with a lot of sandy ground, rocks, water crossings and hiking uphill i bet clipless wouldn't have been much of an advantage. plus the metal cleats can be very cold on the feet on long days in this climate.
Drones really have revolutionised filming and they suit MTB perfectly. Looks like a cool Trip.
Great vid! Pure mountain bike and adventure. What a country and what a bunch of legends!
You guys make it look so easy! Beautiful footage, to go with an epic adventure. Love, the music choice, too.
Spectacular video! great music, cinematography, and of course - top notch riding! Thank you to your entire team . . . damn you guys & gals are just superb!

8:06 haha ! you don't have fat bike ! :D
Right!???! Come on🙂
Zeal fietsen in ysland
Decent vid but music is a bit pants. Reckon cut media would have done this more justice.
+Robert Andersn I don't know about the first song, but the last 2 are Icelandic bands. Vok and Agent Fresco. Not a huge fan of either one, but sort of cool to use Icelandic music.
+Michael Bond After a 2nd watch I totally agree with you. Think the first song set the wrong tone for the rest of the video.
Dislike Energy Drinks! The shit need no one! Drink more milk (with kakao:) )
liked everything but the soundtrack
4:56 some erosion
are they too scared to ride clipless pedals or what?
+Alex Pavlov probably learned to keep their feet on the pedals. clipless are for beginners (lol)
+Alex Pavlov well with a lot of sandy ground, rocks, water crossings and hiking uphill i bet clipless wouldn't have been much of an advantage. plus the metal cleats can be very cold on the feet on long days in this climate.
:)
Alex Pavlov you're a sad little man
Hans Rey thanks for inspiring a couple of generations to do what they love.
Use less Rocky music
