The event from the SooFany performance is a charity event. Tiffany actually surprised her, Sooyoung hadn't asked her to come because she thought Tiffany would be too busy. Sooyoung set up a charity called 'Beaming Effect' to raise awareness about retinitis pigmentosa and to help fund efforts to find a cure. It's something that's very close to home for Sooyoung as it's a genetic illness that her father has that's resulted in him slowly going blind. Presumably as it's genetic, she would also be concerned about getting a diagnose herself or passing the gene on to any future children. She's done a lot of events for it including selling merch and auctioning off idol clothes - not just her own, she went around contacting other idols to donate. She also did a movie pro-bono to raise awareness called 'Perfect Sense'. Sooyoung's probably the best actress in SNSD imo and if you're interested in checking out any of the girls' acting abilities, this would be up there in terms of content I'd recommend.

can't believe i'm late :(( to answer ur question of where the soofany performance is from, it was a charity concert for Beaming Effect (an org started by sooyoung's father to raise awareness for the visually impaired, and iirc i think all the girls pitched in to help him start it), she said she didn't ask the members to come bc she knew they'd be busy and didn't want to burden them but tiffany still went.. i think the smiles that tiffany has througout the performance is due to how proud she is of Soo 🥺🥺
