I’m so glad that she kept the “lizzy” version of yayo, it’s a beautiful song
her voice is so raw. i feel her pain.
molly katelyn I was just about to say the same thing. I like the raw nature of this song.
She has so much pain in her voice. I ache for her.
+Alexia Edwards The thunder in this track is well placed.
listen to billie holiday
But all I hear is billie holiday...
She's "doin' fine" pun intended. She's amazing.
Alexia Edwards make her laugh
The story of her life is so sad, chaotic, a lot of bad and
good things combined, but yet so intriguing.
All those years she spend being a teen alcohol addict.
The rehab, boarding schools, working and
preforming in local bars in Williamsburg, NY
She used to live in a trailer park, and had so much to deal with.
Record labels who just rejected her and threw her out.
Honestly, I couldn't live through everything she had to.
She is the one of the strongest women that I know of.
And this song just reminds me of all she had to go through.
Back in the days of Lizzy Grant AKA Lana Del Ray (late 2000's)
Lana, you've come so far in life
and even though I don't know you personally,
I am so proud of you.
Thank you for inspiring me and millions of people to be who
they want to be and not anyone else.
Thanks for making me happy and helping me through your music.
I love you
she chose the trailer park life. she said it herself
Yea that's true, cause she wanted to try her own feet and build the life and career by herself. Try'd paid own bills, not parents money, she didnt want that her parents do it all. Thats what i have heard and read. But tough times she have been trough.
I think she didnt have a choice or anything another place to go? (or yes, her parents, but she didnt wanted to go.)
And as an addict, i can understand her.
🤍Amen ❤️🙏✨
i feel th same felling
And.. as an addickt/ex, i can say that everyone who is around you, will get hurted. Sooner or later..everything you touch, dies sooner or later right straight in your eyes. Wanted or not, if dont leave.. but hurts anyway
this song is just perfect "Hello heaven, You are a tunnel lined with yellow lights, On a dark nite" lovely

I like the snake on your tattoo
I like the Ivy and the
Ink blue, yayo, yeah you, yayo
You have to take me right now
From this dark trailer park
Life now, yayo, how now, yayo
Put me onto your black motorcycle
Fifties baby doll dress for my 'I do"
It only takes two hours to Nevada
I wear your sparkle
You call me your mama
Let me put on a show for you daddy
Let me put on a show
Let me put on a show for you tiger,
Let me put on a show
I need you like
A baby when I hold you
Like a drug
Like I told you
Yayo, yes you, yayo
Put me onto your black motorcycle
Fifties baby doll dress for my 'I do"
It only takes two hours to Nevada
I wear your sparkle
You call me your mama
Let me put on a show for you daddy
Let me put on a show
Let me put on a show for you tiger
Let me put on a show
Hello Heaven
You are a tunnel lined with yellow lights
On a dark night (Dark night)
Yayo, yes you, yayo
Put me onto your black motorcycle
Fifties baby doll dress for my 'I do"
It only takes two hours to Nevada
I wear your sparkle
You call me your mama
Let me put on a show for you daddy
Let me put on a show

Let me put on a show
Lana sang this song in Rome a few days ago and she said that she wrote it after her boyfriend came home with a dragon tattoo. When she was talking about this episode, I did nothing but smile. Her voice was telling us something that happend maybe in another life for her... so many years ago... Lana, you are so beautiful. Timeless
truly, I feel like she has lived so many different lives. it's incomprehensible but I've lived all of them through her music.
Her music puts me into a trance it's magical.
perfect way to describe her music
Her voice in this... Idk man it's like a siren's voice... so beautiful, so soft, so delicate. This is in fact the song with which I became a fan :3
My mother says the exact same thing about her voice!! It's so beautiful.
This version is 10x better than the album version, you can hear and feel her emotions in her voice and there is just something about it that makes me wanna cry and dance on a pole at the same time
no bc same
i thought I was crazy because I grew up with this version and not the album one
AND THE GUITAR SETS THE VIBE
I agree. She moved her Soul (Sprit) better to speak hear. The album version makes me cringe a little compared to this one.
Album version is better
This is not a song.
This is not a piece of art.
It's magic.
Pure and simple magic.
Thanks Lana!
Lol😹😹😹
Roger Jaén yea lol
honney, it is a piece of art
AssamiteShadow it's cocaine
its literally a song about cocaine but go off
One time I was in the car with my dad and this song came on and I was so uncomfortable and right after this Cola came on and I wanted to die
my dad is really religious, so if I listened to this while this was on he would beat my assssssssssssssssssssss
haha thanks , reminds me when im in the car with my parents and all of sudden songs that seem G rated to me become triple x lol.
once I was in the car with my stepdad when I was like 12 and when he turned on the radio the lazy song came on, right at the sex part and the car was uncomfortably silent for like 10 minutes after that. it was hell.
HAHAHAHAHA
Oh wow. i love Cola though one of my favorites
'LET ME PUT ON A SHOW FOR YOU DADDY' is the line that makes this song just so great.
RivzMedia and really awkward to listen to with your dad in the room 😳
Every line but yes def I love it
RivzMedia that was also the only line I managed to understand the first time I listened to this song.
MY FAV LINE
Let me put on a show for you tiger
I think what makes this song so incredibly sad is the sense of doom and hopelessness in the lyrics. She felt stuck in her trailer park life and was desperate to get away from it to the point that she would literally do anything (elope to Nevada to get married, put on a show - as in "selling" her body to him as long as he takes her away) and all the while she was coping by doing coke. I would argue she wasn't really in love with this man. I feel like their relationship was more like two people with their own demons who happened to collide for a short period of time.
I like her singing in this version a lot more than the Paradise one
daisyhinojosa23 I agree.
daisyhinojosa23 thumbs up, This sounds more real and true to her feelings. Paradise version sounds fake and forceful, like she exaggerated it to make it fit the whole album's tone.
daisyhinojosa23 I think they both sound fantastic
maha77 idioti
daisyhinojosa23 HOW DO I GET THIS ONE?
1:11 "How now" I love how she says that so lost, I love it
This song is medicine. Her voice is relaxing.
she sound so vintage, she's like an untouchable piece of art, a masterpiece. her voice is like something you'd only hear if you're in heaven. she can't compare to the main pop girls. she's like a breath of fresh air that can heal any types of diseases.
Yes 😍
Pawn Shop Blues feels.
Fidessa Isiko Fidessa Isiko, are you lowkey a pastor?
Brandon Del Rey ?
+Fidessa Isiko he's asking if you are "LOKI" the pastor...of Satan's church. it's pretty obvious
***** I see :)
True
to be completely honest, i really prefer this version to the album version because of the fact there's no vocal echo. it sounds basic, and it sounds raw. she probably used the echo on the paradise version for an atmospheric sound but this sounds a lot more real. still a great, underrated song though x
i think this is from the selftitled album.. aka lizzy grant
+paeh namy XXI the Lizzy one didn't have piano right?
nope this is the lizzy grant version, it has a more acoustic sound. the paradise version of born to die has the piano version
The version on ''No Kung Fu EP '' Is even more raw, only acoustic
DoGgYDiddy ditto
i like this version better than her album version :D
I completely agree omg
this verison is more of her natural voice, the album one is very umm idk.. like not autotuned but computerized, lol
This is the original version she re recorded the album one for paradise.
I know its lizzy grant, oh i havnt heard the original one
what ?
A decade later and this is still her masterpiece
Isn't it ironic how such a beautiful song is about something so dark and grim?
dark things can be beautiful though
Exactly, many Del Rey fans don’t like the way I say on my comments though.

Same here!
something about this song is beautifully haunting; its sensual, hypnotic, and nostalgic. One of the best in her discography
A voice from the 40's
Katy your opinions about her will prove out to be ignorant .you fall into a category of "they will look but not see. Keep your petty hateful comments to yourself. History will make her the greatest artist of our generation, and you'll just be one of the dumbasses
+katy0233 Fuck off hater!!!
@katy0233 have you seen her perform this in the lizzy grant days? Don't judge
@katy0233 sure
@katy0233
Your not hating. Your simply stating the facts. Most of her music is auto tune but she also sounds good without it. The real haters are the low lifes that have to swear at you about a simple factual statement you made. And theyll just keep typing....
Oh Lana, you're music has helped me so much in my life. I was such a lost soul, and honestly I was happy that I wasn't alone. It was as if my life was documented in your music. Please come to Hawaii!!
God same!!! She save my life so many times
I relate to this so much, I found out about her 7 years ago and I'm so glad I did. If it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be now
Oh yeah totally, her voice chants for evil, she is depressed and a looser. I don’t understand how this helps people when literally her voice is haunting. It’s either that or non of you guys don’t have great sympathy to music. Lana makes you think that you are having a good life when she is dragging you down to hell with her. that’s where she is going and I already knew because i speculated before is she ever gonna write a song that she is cursed from Heaven. I was right.
There is the truth and you guys are probably gonna get upset with me because in reality the truth hurts.
sameeeeeee
i don't know what it is about this song but you're either like meh or no no no when you first hear it, and then suddenly once you read the lyrics and pay attention it's like bam, one of the most special songs in the album. and this version is actually even better than the one on paradise, i didn't realise till now there was a difference
This is so accurate

spookybanana heh, i was the opposite. i fell in love with this song right away. esp that ending with that classical part... hmm, the chills.
Still remember listening to this as a teenager in my great grandmas guest room and crying because I thought nothing would ever get better. I’m almost 30 now, and life hurts sometimes, but I’m okay. I do wish I could go back to that time though and appreciate it more.
I am really a teenager and I listen to this song😢
@@Gala19985please enjoy your teenage years as much as you can darlin, they fly by ❤
I was 16 years old. Bruised and abused for 8 months, holed up in a dilapidated shack of an apartment in a foreign country against my will where nobody spoke nor understood English. I would listen to this song on repeat....
I had read about some NDEs prior and her singing about heaven as a tunnel of light used to bring me solace.
Today I am 27 and subjected to some divine events, I find myself again in the same place, in the same room and similar set of circumstances.

listen to hard to tell by suicideboys, they sampled that part
Her voice and songs are so pure♥
This song sounds so dark and deep like it came from a bad part of her life maybe that's what's she's describing
In ride
"Yayo" is slang for Cocaine, and she's been clean for 10 years, so I'm wondering if this is a reference to darker times, as well. She never said she did cocaine, but she did mention drugs, and of course alcohol, when she was MUCH younger. And she's said that she personifies alcohol in a lot of songs, so this could well be a darker look into her past. What a strong woman for coming out of that addiction and creating art out of it.
i fully agree
Stella Isis Rothe didn’t she also said she did cocain
@@LilyNoelleArt you also need to understand that Lana is a hypocrite and is in touch with the devil.
this song is so soft, beautiful. Masterpiece.
there’s something about this version that’s so ethereal, it sounds almost dreamy and hazy. the other version is good too, i like how deep her voice is at the start. this is like her baby voice she uses sometimes in her songs.
She has so many songs. Ill never be ever to know all of them ;(
I am actually happy for the same reason, because every two days I look for a new song of hers and it's like a gift!

This version is everything. I'm obsessed with the Paradise version, but this one is just incredible. Especially the "yeah, you"s in the chorus, so soft and sweet, and the chime sounds towards the end. It's electric and pristine, so beautiful.
this song reminds me of the end of summer late into the night, and driving through the west of the country not entirely sure where you're going, and pulling over to the side of the highway to hold each other and gaze at the stars in the heavens, that are so clear that night
This song brings me back to back to winter in Manhattan. It's so real I can see the glow of streetlights going hazy in the blizzard. Part of me is embarrassed I still have these emo bitch emotions, part of me is glad that no matter how much money I make, how successful I become, how much I change, I will always remember how it felt walking in the snow with her before the world existed, when all we knew was how to love and trust one another.
+calohtar This is poetic.
this can be a monologue in one of Lana's songs
Oh my f*cking God, this is deep and beautiful 👀
You make it sound like it ended. It did?
this is probably one of my favorite TH-cam comments

Yeah right, I don’t what the hell your talking about but her voice is not friendly by the bad vibes I receive from her music. But I like it though.
If someone were to tell you to listen to Lana Del Rey it means they don’t like you. Lana of course is not gonna tell her fans to kill them selves but shows you an example on how to do it.
