That's exactly what it is, a funeral for a general, and a god. It's not a fight we're doing, it's a funeral, and Radahn's dying the way he's always wanted to: in battle. It's just unfortunate that he's no longer sane enough to be able to cherish his last dying moments as a warrior and a soldier.

@@the_furry_inside_your_walls639 I like to think the themes tone shifting along implies that he's regaining a bit more of his otherwise clouded senses.
I think this is shown how in the first phase the main gravity spells he does are pulls and slams and making his swords have rocks
Whereas in the second phase he uses all sorts of tactical and Complex spells as if he's regained a bit of his focus.
Maney the stars started falling when radahn fell like a star
And he just had pushed then back that far away even while rotten and dogged.

@@IamSnehan Pfft. A loving brother who for a lie causes a genicide? I stay with the one who defended his brothers and resisted, despite his inferiority. Malenia is a deranged loser, and Radahn was only defeated by scarlett rot. Margit is more charismatic if you know him, but he seems like a radical of order and I don't like that either. Ranni and Radahn seems to me the best.

      @solairesolalalalalemon1198 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Radhan defeated Melania but lost to Rot. Rot is the outter goddess who stumbled upon the lands in between after the greater will left. From Gowry, it seems Rot was a neutral and innocent outter being but for some reason she grew attached to Melania. She became infused with Melania.
This is similar to Mogwyn. Mogwyn had no interest in the emperyans. He wanted to create his own society. But if you read all the item descriptions related to the blood goddess and Miquella it seems Miquella has a dark secret. His charm affect is probably what drove Mogwyn insane and his dynasty became an army for Miquella. As far as Melania goes she probably became his slave. Her devotion seems oddly weird. And the part about there’s no cure to rot is pure bull crap. Because the cure to rot was invented long ago by the giants through a miracle that cleansed rot from the body, mind and soul. So her complete reliance on Miquella makes no sense unless she was compelled to be his blade no matter what. And just like the blood mother helping Mogh, I believe Rot did the same with Melania. That explains why milicient is trying to help Melania in a way because milicient is actually a product or a child of rot. Gowry in the other hand wants Rot to bloom for the third and final time since the second time was against Radhan.
Radhan beat Melania but he had no outter god like Melania to fight with, he only had himself. Radhan beat Melania but he could not best Rot.
We do. Melanias second phase is Rot. We beat Rot. And make sure she never blooms again and ends the world. But even in death she remains a slave to Miquella.

    • @Jacatoja1
      @Jacatoja1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Radahn is the only good demigod. Ranni commited treason and led to the night of black knives. Malenia only fought Radahn for his great rune which has nothing to do with searching for miquella. Morgott may protect the erdtree although the greater will and marika have bad intents for the lands between (atleast imo). Mohg stole Miquella to recreate the world with his own outer god. Rykard was obsessed with immortality. While Radahn was doing everything in his power to hold the stars back to save the lands between from dangers like more manifestations of astel or fallingstar beasts

Listening to this like another lad said, I get emotional even though he's just a fictional character with zero dialogue, thinking of the great warrior he once was, and the even greater man/demi god he was, from the lore I do believe he was one of the most righteous and honorable of the Demi-gods.
This is a funeral march, remembering this incredible leader and warrior in his final moments for what he was, it's not menacing or dominating like the first half, it's sad yet uplifting for all that he was, the warriors death he deserves and his rest that awaits him after suffering for so long, and holding back the stars all the while to protect his home even in his insanity and agony.

    He reminds me of artorias:
1-He has an animal friend that he will protect at all costs.
2-He was a cool guy and only fights us because he’s “corrupted”.
3-Both him and Artorias have a title because of a great feat they accomplished (defeating the stars/walking the abyss).
4-They both have a group of dedicated followers that stand by them/honor them even after their passing/corruption.
5-They both have an animal motif.
To me it’s clear Radhan is the tragic hero of elden ring much like artorias was to dark souls. (Also much like artorias it’s a sad moment even though you never meet them before and they have no dialogue)

Of all the foes that vied for the throne, Radahn was the only one who seemed like he was doing it for the good of the world.
    Rykard wanted immortality.
Malenia did it cause she missed her brother.
Mohg wished to remake the world in the name of his god.
And as honerable as he is, Godfrey simply wanted to reclaim his lost status as king.

I absolutely love this part of the song. It managaes to feel so epic that you are clashing against an incredible foe, while also being sad. It plays in phase 2 as you get ever closer to finally ending his suffering. After many attempts from champions at killing him he's finally gonna be put out of his misery. The song is almost a lament, reflecting on the incredible warrior he was, it's like a funeral march, knowing Radahn is finally going to die, and it's sad that the world's greatest warrior will fall, but it's bittersweet as he's being put out of his misery. You can hear in the lyrics of the most epic part amongst the random gibberish the word "Radahn," meaning it's clearly a lament of some sort. The music in souls games always gets me, and this has to be one of if not my favorite songs in all the souls OST

I was doing a squat to this, or maybe a push-up, and was about to fail. But right at the climax of this song repeated perfectly, I was able to push through.

And then you learn that he was even more of a Giga Chad.
And then you learn certain someone was a yandere all along and send his sister to kill Radahn only because he refuse to get brainwashed.
Once again ... i didn't beat Malenia. I avenge the General. I didn't kill Miquella because of his plan but because he dare to make me go through fight Radahn again, and dare to call that "Radahn in his prime".
CURSE YOU MIQUELLA!!!!! Curse you for make me go through it again ... to see the General like that. To learn it wasn't him but Mohg's body with the General's soul on it brainwashed by you dang femboy magic.

The lore says that the fight between Radahn and Malenia was a draw, but the question is, who fled from the battlefield and who stay ? The truth is that Radahn won the fight, Malenia fled defeated!

I do not care what anyone's said, Radahn pretty much defeated Malenia. Sure the Scarlet Rot still infected him? But even still he still held back the stars, while Malenia neglected her kin, and was pitifully dragged to the Haligtree by one of her own knights.

  • @ThatGuyOrby

Alright, prime for prime what do you people think is the proper order of strongest to weakest demi-gods lorewise? This is what I think personally:
    1. Radahn (Pre fight with Malenia, not holding back the stars)
    2. Malenia (Goddess of Rot)
    3. Rykard (Post being devoured by Serpent)
    4. Mohg (Post Blood Ritual)
    5. Morgott (Accursed Blood)
    6. Godrick (Post Dragon Grafting)
I feel like there are two major things that I should explain in depth:
    1. Why I rate Prime Radahn unburdened by the stars above Malenia Goddess of Rot
    2. Why Morgott ranks second weakest when he is an absolute monster in the lore and could probably unironically take on 5-10 Godricks alone.
    Well here's why:
    1. People really, really underrate just how broken Radahn's control of gravity is. With the feats he's displayed there's quite literally nothing stopping him from just yeeting any enemy out into space or simply high enough that the fall back down would be lethal. If not that he could intensify your gravity to such a degree you'd be squished under your own weight. He doesn't do it because he's an honorable warrior but this isn't a "who would win" this is "who is the strongest/most powerful".
    2. Morgott despite being an absolute unit who could likely destroy anyone not listed above him on this list (save for Godfrey, Fire Giant, and Maliketh) he has many problems that hold him back from being more powerful.
-Morgott Problem #1: He hates himself and purposely locks away his true power (his accursed blood and related bloodflame techniques) until he's gravely wounded and can't hold it in anymore, meaning he's willingly fighting with one hand tied behind his back and is too ashamed of his powers to use them.
-Morgott Problem #2: As a product of problem #1 he's inexperienced with using his accursed blood meaning he doesn't know how to make the most of it and what it's really capable of. This is why despite Morgott clearly being the better warrior over his brother Mohg I still consider Mohg more powerful because he embraces, understands, and fully utilizes his accursed blood to it's utmost potential.
-Morgott Problem #3: He and Mohg were locked away in the sewers for an incredibly long time and were not afforded the same training or schooling the other demi-gods would've received from their parents and other sources so they had to train and learn on their own which is rarely as effective as being taught by a master. This hurts Morgott a hell of a lot worse than Mohg because Morgott chose the path of the warrior with weapons and martial prowess as his weapon while Mohg chose to embrace his natural power.
So in conclusion despite being an absolute beast and a masterful warrior he simply does not stack up to the other Demi-Gods listed above him in my personal opinion.
