      @@Bavarian-ko9il absolutely. The only negative point is people drive on the opposite side on the highway at high speeds in the right lane. Found this quite frightening. Otherwise it’s a fabulous place to live.

    Yes Kumbakonam town
    Kumbakonam town only filled with towered temples......but not of outside Kumbakonam. But it is already propagated in such a way......all around 60-70 kms away from Kumbakonam is signified as Kumbakonam temples. Practically it is different. Example Navagraha temples are piviated in aand around Mayiladuturai......but named as Kumbakonam where as Mayiladuturai ais central point. Same way equvlent to Kasi temples and veeratana temples are around Mayiladuturai only. But every temples in that areas are quoted as Kumbakonam.....

    Those days art workers had so many jobs like sculpting painting art renovation type work and so many including pure drinking water supply. Nowadays only 1% have jobs in such areas. Including rice barns.

    Hi Anand Parasuram, Please note following correction
    The temples you see is Chola Culture NOT Dravidian culture. So please mention it appropriately.
    Second, Adi Shanakracharya, teacher of Adwaita Principles and is different from Paramacharya Chandrasekaranda Sarawati, 68th Pontiff of Kanchi Sankara Mutt. Madam.

      The mention of the resort was to let the viewers know that we were happy with the place we stayed in and you may consider making it the central point while visiting places like Thanjavur, Kumbakonnam, Chidambaram and even Velankanni. Then there is CGH earth Mantrakoodam which I heard is also extremely good to stay.

    It is not adi sankara's house but Probably looking at the photo it is house of Chandrasekara Saraswathy . Also he passed away in Kanchipuram and not Kumbakonam. I doubt if he lived in the last days in Kumbakonam

    • @americaseamritsar
      @americaseamritsar  17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Yes that was a mistake I made. Apologise. Its indeed Chandrasheka Saraswathy. Also, the hotel authorities have put up a board outside the house stating that Chandrasekara Saraswathy passed spent his final days in that house.

  • @deepakchari
    @deepakchari 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    The house - It is not of Adi Shankaracharya (8th century AD) but the Shankaracharya of Kanchi Mutt usually called Paramacharya or Shri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati. Request the host to do some research before giving the narrative. And the Paramacharya did NOT spend his final years here but was in this house about 50-60 years before he passed away as the Mutt was shifted from Kumbakonam to Kanchipuram.

    • @raghavansadagopan3905
      @raghavansadagopan3905 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Perhaps the narrator got confused after getting the resort host told him some claims of the Kanchi Mutt. The current Kanchi mutt cka8ms to have been established by Adi Sankara after he returned South from his all India journeys and started a 5th Mutt supervised by himself; prior to his demise he anointed a disciple as the successor called Samkracharya and the lineage continues to this day. In that event he must have lived in his last days as the Mutt shifted to Kanchi only in 20th century.
      The above story is discounted by the other 4 Mutts ( Sringeri, Puri, Dawaraka and the Kashmir mutts) all of which claim to have been established by Adi Sankara before he passed away in the North.
