I had the Take-Along stuff back then, they were really great toys! My mom got me the red portable sheds that came with a Thomas while she was away on a business trip! I’m not sure where the sheds are in my house, but I still have the Thomas! I have him on my shelf! It’s a shame that today’s kids have this confusing stuff to choose from. When I was younger, we had Wooden Railway, Tomy, and Take Along, but they’ve changed it so much to the point that I’m sure parents and even kids were confused! I’ve been interested in the Ertl stuff that came before Take-Along though, I never had them, they seem pretty cool!

I had some take along trains too. I loved the original take along and take and play. Everything just went down hill

Mattel seems to focus more on Trackmaster and they look amazing. I think that it’s the obvious that Mattel sees that Trackmaster is selling much better and they need to put more care in these other ranges.
It’s sad that adventures didn’t even last a year. Mattel only wants to support track master considering it is Mattel’s most profitable toy line for Thomas.
Adventures was cool. RIP adventures we will miss you.

Ngl, I honestly wish they just added Rebecca to the steam team instead of just replacing Henry, she could’ve been like Emily’s partner in crime like Percy is to Thomas. I’m not really a huge fan of Nia so imo she could’ve been like Toby, where she’s in the steam team, but is off doing her own thing
Rebecca should have replaced Edward, and Rosie should have been like Emily in the New Series. A main character, just not in Tidmouth

Actually Rebecca did replace Edward I’m not sure about the berth but Rebecca was always meant to be number 22 2nd number 2 22 she was supposed to come in season 21 and she had the number 22 in her design even before she was switched to season 22

The Push Along range actually has its own rolling stock. They only come in the sets though and they also come with the minis now.
Interestingly, most of the issues with Push Along can also be said about TWR. Large, uniform wheels, weird proportions, chassis that are too long or short for a lot of engines, lackluster detail, and the list goes on.

I have been collecting Thomas and Friends toys since I was two and I'm 25 and I think these push along engines are amazing
i really love those push along engines on youtube for while but the wiggle tones is really happy to see you next three years

I do like that Push Along is the same gauge as Wooden and Trackmaster, but I don't like that the couplers only work one way, and many characters still have odd dimensions. They look decent next to other diecast engines, but not well scaled to Wood or Trackmaster trains. But it's pretty neat to have a smaller version of a character being towed along by a bigger trackmaster version.
The only Push Alongs I own are Rebecca and Henry, but I want to get Rosie, two Troublesome Trucks, Noor Jehan, and the 75th Anniversary Thomas. I might get Luke because he might look good next to a motorized engine

31:18 I actually had to go to a 2nd Target location to get my Push Along Henry. The first one only had Belle and Whiff at the time. Push Along Henry surprisingly has more accurate details like wheel arch placements

42:02 to answer that question I prefer the wheels grouped togather. I've learned to live with the system with adventures and modern Take n Play where I could improvise the missing wheels with lego studs.
Even though the Trackmaster Push Along range is boring, I almost have every single product of the same range.
I wish they'd release Push Along Ester in the UK.
She was sold in Australia, but I'm not entirely sure if the packs were sold in your country.

The trackmaster push-along models definitely look similar to the wooden railway models with the wheels and everything.

All Mattel TTTE merchandise is trash. Australia doesn’t really have savannah biomes. We only have arid grasslands in between urban areas, east coast forests and central continental deserts. That yellow diamond sign is for kangaroo crossings in arid grasslands

My sons got the new painted push along Thomas and friends engines and they work on the wooden railway/brio tracks as well.
I am later than other people but I really like Push Alongs because they can fit on any tracks.
This push along range is just making

I love thomas and friends trackmaster push alongs.
I am ok with adventures and push alongs but the 2012-2014 engines are the best of both worlds you got the classic take n play design with nice cgi faces and pin wheel axels in my opinion I’m split between push alongs but I think it’s your best bet to buy 2012 take n plays and. Not to mention they don’t have dummy wheels

You actually did unbox 31 characters to be exact.
If Mattel wanted Trackmaster to be push along, they would talk with TOMY about making it just that because that range at least allowed for the toy to be played with as a motorized toy and as a push along toy. But no, let's make a whole new range of toys because it's cheaper than redesigning something back to what it used to be.
You could just repaint James and call him a Fowler 4F tender engine or something cause that's what he looks like if anything.
Nia, I think she looks alright. Sure she's not the long and wind tank engine she should be but her proportions are closer to what Thomas should have I think Or close to it.
You know, I've been thinking of making a diecast National coal board Tank Engine out of an Adventures Hong Mei and I'm also thinking that if I got another Trackmaster push along James, I would even make a Custom die-cast LMS 4f steam tender locomotive with Fowler tender.
Actually, you forgot to mention the Take-Along series of Thomas and friends. The Take-in-Play replaced the Take-Along engines

Now this is what I think about push along.
Super good but ways this could improve.
1. A correct amount of wheels for example, Gordon is shown as a 4-6-2 and has 6 wheels on tender
and if that is not possible,
2. Engines like James and Edward should not have spacing between wheels, basically as long as Thomas, but same length tender.
I think its not a lot to ask for, right?
And I only use take n play adventures and push along in (The Adventures of Thomas)

A new unboxing video! Awesome. I actually binged all of your previous unboxing videos to pass time during quarantine, so seeing another one join the lineup was a pleasant surprise. I have to be honest with myself about this range. As someone who has always collected the Diecast ranges as a kid (and over Wooden Railway, in all honestly) Trackmaster Push Along is the worst major Diecast range we’ve ever gotten. Every other range has had something over the others. ERTL had an amazing selection of character. Take-Along had a consistent quality throughout the entire range, changing very little in its style. Take N Play was a very good continuation of Take Along (at first). Adventures had its strong coupling system. Trackmaster Push Along has nothing. The models are garbage, the sets are garbage, the track is garbage, and the worst of all is that the character selection is pretty limited. They’ve only released five characters that no other Diecast range has made (Rebecca, Rajiv, Noor Jehan, Ester, and Sonny) The range is just such a disappointment, and while it could be worse, it doesn’t really excuse that it’s mostly awful. I applaud you for exploring the range as examining it, but I find most models useless as I already have the Take Along and Take N Play versions, which are far superior for my Thomas the Tank Engine Diecast needs
If they made push along Edward the same size as push along James that Will be better
The difficulties is the same as Wood: All Diesels and tank engines are Thomas size and Tender engines are James/Edward Size

and the Digs the Discoveries packs the push along one and the Motoriezed one (he isn't in Digs and Discoveries). and mattel gave him a Trackmaster Motorized in 2019 why really baffles me why it was made?

Now that is very good but however you didn't even watch some of the seasons I'm talking about the newer seasons like season 24 or the last year season season 23 or Season 22 2018 or even big world Big Adventures or even the specials like digs and discoveries the Royal engine and marvelous machinery and if you do want to watch them
( and also Season 22 isn't on Netflix but you could find them on TH-cam)
