Intuitive art, is making me a better artist. My layers may be making me a masterpiece, but its breaking my heart! I can get any relief! I dont have hope, I dont have anyone left who understands me or gets me. I m going to be alone forever.

Wow, this video put into words why I think I’ve been so drawn to mixed media artwork. It’s because I am mixed media artwork! Texture, layers (some ugly) and complex aspects make me who I am but I believe in the hope of the beauty of the end result!

Thank you from the bottom of my very broken heart for saying that we are all a masterpiece in the making. Most of the time I don't feel that way, but I'm getting more comfortable with being an imperfect being and trying to remember that even my regrets and sorrows are part of my unique beauty.
Your heart piece is lovely. I loved the process and your final meditative explanation. Thanks so much for your tutorial and your lovely lesson. I always come away from your vids feeling nourished... usually a bit tearful, but they're tears from my soul - and my tears always teach me something too.

Just beautiful!!! The only thing that was a distraction for me was the birds tail. When you stuck it on I thought - uh oh - she’s going to trim that off! I think seeing that cheeky birds tail sticking out of the heart would have been perfect! Do you still have the scraps? Stick it back on! LOL ❤️

Absolutely stunning! Everything you said at the end was spot on! I think mixed media art is a lot of going back and forth (the song and dance) of adding and taking away and adding and covering up.....all the layers and little details gives energy to the piece your working on.....your energy (which is what makes it special, I think) . It all came together beautifully and everything you said really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing a part of you with all of us. Thanks so much. I seal with a soft gloss varnish and I cut my own wood. I buy a large sheet wholesale and then cut and router each piece. I have them available in my shop.

Stunning. I love the colours you've used in this piece. I have a question though. By the time you've completed your final piece, can you still see the ripped up pages from the books you did at the very beginning? If not, is it done to create layers and depth?
You can see a bit of the paper, mainly the first layer of paper is to start the creative process, tell my story and create texture and depth. Thanks for watching!

I actually went to design school and had some art classes but I'm mostly self-taught. I have taken aaa lot of online workshops in the past. I do have workshops that I teach online if you would like to grow your skills.

Oh my goodness--I absolutely love this piece! So beautiful with all those delicious layers.
I was wondering what is that pencil or pen you used to outline heart? It is red on the outside but puts out black I think. Then you shaded with your fingers over the dark outline. Where can I buy one? Thank you in advance.
Thank you and It's a Generals Charcoal pencil - ex. soft you can get it on amazon. And then I used a black soft pastel to do additional shading. Thanks for watching
