Shawn, I needed to hear that. I'm 8 months into being a widow...I suddenly without warning lost the love of my life, the father of our children, my husband, 11/10/21. I threw myself into art. I'm not good at it, but if I don't play in my paints and pallet knives, I feel off...and I go back to finding him. Art is my only escape. I need to hear what you said....bc I need to! Hi Shawn, thank you for reminding me to be gentle to myself. I take care of everyone but me. These past two weeks have been very trying and I've forgotten how to not only "be gentle to me", but to let go and Let God. Take very good care of yourself and feel better soon!

I love putting texture into most things I do, so this art piece is perfect for me. Love the use of Inktense pencils here, because they're one of my favorite ways to add color, vibrancy and shading. Great job, as always, and thanks for the free download, too!
Can you tell me the difference,if any, between Raw Umber & Burnt Umber? You use them a lot and I didn’t know why you choose one over the other. I love the effect they do on your art but I don’t see any differences. They even look like the same color. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE PIECE THAT YOU DO!!! SO INSPIRATIONAL!!!
Burnt umber is warmer with more of a yellow base and hue, Raw umber is smokey and more grey. The difference is small but makes a big difference for each project. Thanks for watching!
