Mmmmm, think the script writers are taking a bit of liberty with this one and have have forgotten what they wrote in those past episodes and what was really happening ... Ben had lied to Callum on so many occasions, went behind his back constantly, put his Dad before Callum every time, constantly jeopardised Callum's career, was unsupportive and jealous and then got stoned out of his brain and dragged Lewis upstairs for sex, leaving Callum to look after his daughter ... I think the relationship/ marriage between Ben and Callum was well and truly on the rocks and it wasn't the fault of Lewis or Callum.

Ben acknowledges this himself. He did seek Lewis out and he did cheat on Callum(yes kissing is cheating). And I’ll be honest had Lewis not gone to lock the door, I doubt Ben would have stopped. And yes their relationship was on the rocks. But acting like a scavenger of a damaged relationship is not okay. Callum at one point said that Lewis was single and thus less responsible but when you know someone is in a committed relationship and is having issues, and you use that to get what you want, that’s evil.

We are living in it everyday just like when the sun comes up, the moon can still be seen in the sky, and when night falls, the moon reflects the sun’s light and shine upon on us, guiding us in the dark along with the stars, so you see, we are experiencing light and dark everyday, they can work if you want it to work, if both sides try to meet in the middle, like everything else in nature, it’s about balance, and darkness in Ben, it’s not about him doing crimes, it’s about him struggling with his own issues, and Callum and everyone else in the world also have our own issues, then what? Lewis didn't lie though, all the problems these couple faced all through episodes was because Ben despises himself and never finds himself worthy of a good person like Callum. that's why his pride keeps on swinging, he keeps on hiding things and he keeps on falling more and more like he is punishing himself for being a curse to Callum.. Then you went on falling for Lewis and literally attempting to sleep with him (before saying no) without taking any consideration of Callum's feelings.
