I love your mod...Thanks. I am going to convert my silent killers to side swimmers thanks to Don and might as well do the full mod. A video on casting these big swim baits would be helpful. How much do you let the bait hang from the tip? Do you just have a leader in that length so as not to have the leader knot going the guides? I believe you use mono but I prefer braid. Do you prefer the overhead or side arm throw? Swing up to get distance or low so as not to make a huge splash? After casting all day with the 250, I am exhausted.....LOL. Thanks

Victor Xavier I’ve fished both and I still love the OG 250’s due to the ability to interchange a lot of its features. The new ones are very good though don’t get me wrong, the new one in the video was one of the best swimming 250’s I had ever seen in my life period. But something about that resin body puts the old ones just above the new ones for me!
Kim Satterfield I actually have no idea where to get stock eyes at by maybe try going on eBay and looking up fishing lure eyes and I bet you can find some pretty good ones

Maybe a simple tip maybe do this in a very well lit spot. Could hardly see what was happening. Want to do this on my 250

Hey man, would you recommend the Daiwa DX Swimbait rods as a starting Swimbait rod?
I have the heavy and the xxh i use for bank fishing. Cant beat them for the price imo

I have the Diawa DX swimbait rod 8' xhvy and i also have the Dobyns 795SB and they r both great sticks.
I heard the rods are pretty solid for the price but the dudes above named off some other really good options!
