Those who haven't played Mario RPG really don't understand how epic this game is. Keep in mind it was developed by Squaresoft... the same guys who made Final Fantasy 7.

I never thought in my lifetime this game was ever gonna be remade.
I have never cried during a game announcement before, but to see this happen. This was my favorite game from my childhood.
I usually replay this once in a while so seeing a remake means I don't have to break out my SNES or an emulator.
God I wanna Geno and Mallow amiibo now.
@kazecloud2916 Right there with you, I've never cried over a freaking game announcement before either. Like how crazy is this lol. I replay SMRPG around Christmas time so I'm very happy this remake is coming out in November. I'll always continue that tradition. Very happy for you and everyone who loves the original.

I was also at work, I was watching it live too.
I saw the opening to the game and was like “Oh it’s coming to SNES online?”
Then, no, it’s a remake, “NO FUCKING WAY!”
I literally left the room and went to the bathroom to watch the entire trailer cause I could feel the emotions coming. I had tears of joy running down my face as I watched it.
I came back after that bathroom trip a different person 😂😂

I’m hopeful to get the soundtrack. I missed that it’s going to be fully orchestrated (I knew the music sounded fuller). I’ve got my physical copy of the game on pre-order.

This was the highlight of the direct for me. It was great to see how passionate you are about this game and I'm happy for you. I agree about the new super mario bros series of games, this new mario game seems like a fresh breath of air which is what that series needed. Yes, the new Mario 2d game is a breath of fresh air. We needed Mario to have life again after the "new" Mario bros.

@@Daxle I learned English by myself to play it. When I started to play my older sister always read it to me but I wanted to play when she wasn't around too so I grabbed a dictionary and played it.
I did this with FFVI to after and by the time I finished i was reading English like I had classes. ,😊
@@Daxle With the Star Ocean 2 gorgeous remake I am almost done with all my favorite games having a remake.
Just need Chrono Trigger and Xenogears, but I am sure Xenogears will never have a remake, it's close to impossible.

I'm excited for Super Mario RPG's remake, though for a different reason. I never played it as a kid, though I wanted to. I loved classic Paper Mario, which was a spiritual successor to Mario RPG, that is until it got mutilated into something I no longer recognized. Couldn't bring myself to buy Origami King after Sticker Star and Color Splash. People say it's good, but I no longer care, it's not the Paper Mario I wanted, it's not an RPG anymore. I don't know what it is. And Mario and Luigi's series is gone thanks to Alphadream going bankrupt. So I've been starving for any Mario RPG, and this remake... oooh this remake. I pre-ordered it the second I saw the trailer. I hope so much that this remake is a big hit, so Nintendo will see people _want_ more Mario in RPG style, and maybe this will mean we'll get an actual sequel to Mario RPG 26 or so years later, a sequel that was long overdue.
@DarkFoxKit I actually stopped playing origami king mid way through. It was just so boring and lifeless to me, and I really tried to give it a chance. I think Nintendo not allowing for any interesting characters to be included, like there was in the original Paper Mario, was a horrible decision. Yes, I agree. I really hope this will perform well and give the green light for a true sequel. What do you think Super Mario RPG 2 would be about?
@@Daxle Yeah, I don't know why Nintendo is being stubborn about keeping Paper Mario in this weird gimmicky, Toad infested place that it is now, despite tons of fans outcry for it to return to form. But as for what I think a Super Mario RPG 2 would be about, most likely still gotta collect the 7 magical items. But they could get creative here, especially if Square Enix is back on good terms with Nintendo, which I'm hoping is the case considering we have Mallow and Geno back. It'd be nice if we get more unusual characters with their own story arcs, kind of like classic Paper Mario, but with their own kind of twists and charms. Until we actually get a Super Mario RPG 2, we won't know what it would be about exactly, but personally, I'd just be happy if they gave us a good story with good gameplay and characters.
Same, I'd be happy with just a good story and gameplay. But I'd like to know Geno's back story, Mallow as the new king of nimbus land, boosters post game shenanigans lol. I can only dream

@ddgaming9717 ooooOoo the cameos! In the trailer, you can see Booster still has his Samus doll in the toy box. Does that mean we will still see Link and Samus asleeping in the inn?? I bet it'll be link in the new Awakening style.
Yeah im happy with 1 to 1 also but a little extra couldn't hurt. Like give luigi some spotlight. He got his image in the manual and at the credits lol. Oh! What about the different "armor" like will we actually see Mario wearing different gear like the super suit or Mega shirt. For example.

@@Daxle I hope they keep all the cameos be nice to see toy arwing again but if samus doll is in I have a good feeling we will still see link and samus but maybe they can add more too! Have some pikmin maybe throw final fantasy in there I mean we had bahumut lol kind of and that would be interesting I was looking at the guide book and the shirts mario gets has artwork for them even tho they look like overalls lol

I think it’s more likely that this version will just have voice clips than full voice acting, but I still doubt that Mallow and Geno will have a voice.

@thediscodevil0949 I agree, I'm thinking something like Zelda BOTW/TOTK where they make noises as you speak to them. I imagine Mallow sounding like Meatwad from Aqua Teen Hunger, and Geno sounding like Trunks from DBZ.

I’ve always imagined Mallow with a kind of high-pitched voice because he’s just a kid (but not too high), and Geno with a deeper voice that sounds kind of stern, and maybe a little monotone.
@thediscodevil0949 oh nvm lol. yeah I guess Mallow would sound better similar to Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog but chubbier and cute...like Tails with a mouth full of bread lol.

@nikko3d Yes! I can't wait to see them. I still treasure my figures, as you can see lol. Booster is such a great character. I'm so grateful they kept the short stubby look. Nintendo is so protective of how Mario looks I'm glad to see them relax a bit with this new remake and "Mario bros wonder. "
