I personally think so - it depends a bit on how thick the pins are at your course but I think the ball goes in more when hit harder if the flag is out

I've still been registering my scores in the GHIN app. I'm guessing I should stop that until the spring 🤔. I've lost .8 strokes on my handicap recently.

Don’t have to stop if the course is still suitable!

1 mud on ball, play rules of golf rule 14., just lift clean and place through the green, which means whole course, so first tip is not valid.
2.Hit a driver with 11 to 12 deg to get carry.
3 Forget premium ball no need for spin as ball will stop. Use lower spin balls.
4 play forward tees to make distance shorter.
5 sand, use a different loft 56 and bounce 8 deg SW for winter.
6 greens have different putter for winter.
