Suffering Outdoors Thanks Bud! Me too, I spent hours on both branches trying to fish dries. The fish on the East Branch didn’t run too much , but on the West, oh boy, after they crush your fly on top then the real battle starts screaming off drag, such a RUSH!
Cool you tried out the East Branch. Looks like it was a success. Shame they were so picky given such a good day conditions wise. Sorry again about not being able to tag along. I am glad it resulted in a good video for you and trying something different. Looking forward to your next one. Tight lines Scott!
FlyRise Fishing Thank you very much! Absolutely beautiful river, mountains and scenery, besides the fish. Closest thing to Western style trout fishing, sometimes even better. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice video Scott! Good job landing fish on dries ( getting it on camera was awesome) you can tell by the cast getting the drag free drift is so important! Looks like your having a banner year fishing ! Tight lines !
Chasingbowsnbrowns 365 Thank you so much! Yea, getting the takes on camera can be tough, use up a lot of film and battery. This video was shorter than my usual but I had 54 clips but only used around 14 clips, a lot of editing, but all worth it. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Charlie Palmer Hi Charlie! Oh yea, well worth the trip. Beautiful area with great trout fishing, not easy fishing but I love the challenge. Good luck and have fun, hope you make it up there soon. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@pawoodsnwater7551 , thanks! FYI, I made it up to Big Pine late May, Caught a real nice Albino Trout , he was 20+ , water was high so a bit challenging. Also went to little Kettle Creek , love that little stream.... Had a Blast was getting on Top with a Elk Hair Hopper Pattern, Yellow Foam body, with some red thread, and Elk Hair .... Love that pattern does awesome in Potter County and surrounding areas... Number of years ago, I use to live right on the Delaware in a Small town called Martins Creek... :)
Another great video Scott!!! Really need to fish the upper Delaware sometime! Looks like it’s some beautiful Water to fish and it’s stacked full of trout!!! Lol damn that one brown took awhille to get to the net! Great video once again and tight lines as always!!!!🎣💯🐟👍
Awesome video Scott! Would love to see what the emerger isonychia on the klinkhammer you were using looked like. Maybe could be part of your next tying video? Thanks again!
Scott Lowe Hi Scott! Thanks, good idea. You can also get a look at it if you check out my video last year,”Absolutely Awesome”, on Penns Creek. I show it more in that video. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Oh yes, in many of my videos. About a ten minute walk from where you park, but worth it. It’s all big water, so you have to really break it down. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Doug! Call Holsingers Fly Shop out in East Freedom, PA, talk to Shawn or his dad, they’ll set you up. Make sure to order them in a size 12-3xl, get a couple in the brown and ginger version, he’ll also tye you up the wiggle nymph version in you want. Thanks for watching and commenting.
alex gorman Hi Alex! I’m using an Cabela’s MTX 10ft/4wt, it’s about 5-6 years old but one of my favorite rods, probably use this rod more than all of my other higher priced rods. But no, I really don’t know where you can get one, check eBay or amazon or some other internet site, also check Feather Craft, they sell used rods also. Good luck and thanks for watching and commenting.
If I may ask, what part of the west branch did you fish. My brother and I will be up there this weekend. We fish the special catch and release area. Thanks for the great video.
Fishing With Joe G Hi Joe! Sure, I welcome questions. That’s exactly where I was fishing in the special regulations section catch and release area. But honestly I fish all over from Deposit down to Hancock but mostly from the gamelands upstream. Check out my other two videos from the West Branch from 3-4 weeks ago. Good luck on your trip, hope you guys get into some big boys. Have fun!
mark humphrey Hi Mark! I don’t think so in NY but in PA I think you can, that means on the West Branch up to the gamelands and all of the big D. If I’m wrong and anyone else knows, please comment, thanks. Good luck!
Douglas Randall Hey Doug! Thank you! Well, the Isonychias were size 12, the Sulphurs were size 16-18, two types, one with yellow wings and one with medium dun wings. BWOs different sizes, big ones size 14 and smaller ones 20-22, even saw some leftover green drakes huge!
Fishin Fritch Hello! Well, I usually go by the Hale Eddy gauge. For wading I wouldn’t go over 1300cfs at the most, and at there you’re limited. Comfortably, 1000cfs or below. Now above Deposit, I’m not too sure. I’m gonna explore there this year. Have fun and be safe.
Josh Miller Hi Josh! Yes, scroll back through my videos about a year Nov/Dec 2018 for my second tying video, only changes I made are, no need to squish the lead wraps, and if I use a bead or mayfly head I’ll use a size 12 4XL hook, without the bead I use a 3XL , also I tye my ginger version with the yellow Lively Legz and ginger Ostrich herl for the tail and abdomen gills. Hope it works well for you.
mark humphrey I probably wouldn’t try to win that argument, not worth the fine. A bunch of other streams or areas of the Delaware that you can fish without any problems. We all got rules to follow.
Nice Job Scott, Great casting the dries to those brownies. Getting excited or the upcoming trip there in late October!
I think I got more excited than you watching when the one around 12 minutes took the dry! Love that feeling.
Suffering Outdoors Thanks Bud! Me too, I spent hours on both branches trying to fish dries. The fish on the East Branch didn’t run too much , but on the West, oh boy, after they crush your fly on top then the real battle starts screaming off drag, such a RUSH!
Great trip! Thanks for sharing Scott.
Joseph Stella Hi Joe! Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully see you on the Tully.
Nice video Scott and those are some solid fish. Love the dry fly action as well. Thanks for posting and all the best!

If I caught a trout I would just release it.
