In this video, you can watch Sai Modhrithi Vallabhaneni’s (14 years) journey of learning Rajasri Sabdam at the Kuchipudi Village from Guru Sri Pasumarthi Rattaiah Sarma (82 years old), Traditional Kuchipudi guru, Yakshagana Kulapathi, Kendra Sangeeth Natak Akademi Awardee, a Versatile Kuchipudi guru who is reviving the preciousness of the old form of our Kuchipudi dance. ‘RAJASRI SABDAM’ is a beautiful Sabdam composed by Kuchipudi Artists in the 17th Century. In this Sabdam, the artist praises the Prince Tulaja Raja (son of King Prathapa Simha) with her expressions in different ways. King Tulaja Raja belongs to Bhosala Kula patronised Sanskrit, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil artists in Carnatic music, dance and their writings and works.
