@@delbutler885 Yeah about that, I seem to remember an incident the last time Kevin was in a Crown Vic at Bristol....Is he doing the "Tour of Destruction" this time or ???
Thanks for bringing us along on this Kevin...and boy do I know about that, "another project" deal. I have a shop full of them and danged if I didn't start on another. I have made myself a promise tho. Gotta finish one before I take on another, and we are starting with the one that has waited the longest...a old Boyle-Dayton visible gas pump. Rolled it around cars and such for 20 years, it is time.
so looking forward to more content on the Cutlass build. your shop has some of the best attention to detail, and love all the information that you give us.
I bet, I'm thinking what you're thinking of doing with that old chassis... it could be called the G-Cart! Do it... with JZ Power! Anyway, I'm glad to see you back at the old cutlas, can't wait to see it come together!
Look forward to seeing the Cutlass progress... And the KSR version of Leroy!!! And as far as the shirts... They look good... And I'm thinking Top Gun for inspiration
Kev this Cutlass build will be some awesome content for the channel! I like watching the shop stuff, but you working on your personal stuff, and doing some G-body match ups against Mullet would be really cool to see. Filming some of the shop stuff and talking segments even just on a new iPhone would also be a nice quality bump. Just my .02 but its not my channel keep kicking ass
@@KSRPerformanceFabricationwhich iPhone do you use? I record stuff on my 11 pro max and it’s pretty awesome. Have to put it in 60fps and 4k and it’s smooth as butter!
I bought my 37 GMC when I was 13, wrecked it when I was 21, still don't have it back on the road yet and I'm 46. You are doing better than I am getting the Cutlass back on the front burner.
Financially I could understand getting something that wouldn't take as much stuff to get it going but I can also understand the sentiment of it being your first car. Whatever you decide I'm along for the ride.
Hey Kevin. Hope all is well with you and the girls. Miss your content immensely. Hope you are going to FL2K, and we get some footage. Be well, drive fast, and smile often
Never knew there was a race shop in Kissimmee. I grew up there and was very much into the car stuff. Got my first car at 14……… 1967 Buick Special. Sure would love to find that one again. Can’t wait to see what you do with the Cutlass.
So happy you aren’t selling this!! I’m so excited for this build! We race G-Body’s on dirt and can’t wait to see what you do with this build! Keep it up Kevin!
So glad to see you back doing something on your own car pal and looking forward to seeing your build take place and develop, as always pal keep up the great work
Ok Top Gun now you gots to get after it now because the Cutlass is no longer somewhat of a roller. And yes I think the old Cutloose (haha yes I know what I did there) chassis with a 2j would be quicker than an Aerial Adam and maybe quicker than a exoskeleton Tesla 😁
Man I’m with you… I still have my first car. LONG road left to get it done but there is no way I could sell it now. 23yrs I’ve owned mine and can’t wait to see her done.
I will stop everything for a ksr video. Good to see you again kevin. Thanks for all the indepth info you do. Just like steve morris. All the info is helpful and awesome. So thank you and keep it up whenever
I love and hate the timelap music. Its good but after a 14hr day i cant go work in the garage..... maybe more weekend videos😊 and sorry we need updates from drew. 😊😮
I'm so glad to hear that you are going to be keeping the Cutlass. Besides the fact that it has sentimental value it is just way cool that your building something other then an LS powered Mustang or Camaro or any number of cookie cutter race cars. Being an Olds guy from back in the day definitely sways me some but just doing something a bit different is just the kind of thing I love. Keep up the great work and look forward to more content. Keep goin fast brother...🤓
Top gun is what the shirt reminds me of. But I could swear I know of a Stroud parachutes shirt that looked like that and had Grumpy's 2nd gen as the race car. PS I'm 53 and still find things I did to my 65 Chevelle when I was 16.
Top gun? Gotta save the Cutlass, i had a triple pee green '79, that i spray painted blue, and dropped a 455 out of a wrecked 70 442! I loved that car, then i bought an '88 fox, and it was over! Lol! I used to hang out at TRZ Motorsports when they were in Alsip, Illinois, i crewed for Chuck Samuel when he was running NMRA Pro 5.0 in the maroon notch, and they did the chassis work.
That shirt is pretty awesome! Also, shop content is the best content. So stoked to see where this rig ends up. I thoroughly support thoughts of doing things.
Kevin, I'm long time commenter, first time viewer, occasional listener who subscribed as soon as you started the channel, or something like that. I was here before Cleetus was going to put a jet engine in an El Camino that eventually became Mullet (I think it was same El Co). That was in the era when you had very little grey hair instead of looking like you were in Mullet's overspray. It was an exciting time in the past when your videos broke through the 10 minute length barrier and Cleetus could have grown mullets front and back of his head instead of being sponsored by Keeps. Although I'm quite older than you and my hair is like dirty tarnished silver but much thicker than Cleetus, I'm still a car guy, my father was a car guy, my son is a car guy under 30 employed as a trainer by one the "formerly Big 3" of the US vehicle makers. All that said, "We're lifetime car guys who are holding out hope that my 5 year old grandson will become a car guy too. The indications are that he will!" Getting down to business.... It saddened me greatly when I saw the title of today's video. In actual fact, I was temporarily heartbroken at the idea of you selling your first car, the Cutlass. I already had a Valium in hand to chase with a Bud Longneck or two when I realized you wouldn't be selling it after all. In my lifetime I have sold almost no cars that had run or could run after adding a lot of parts and labor. I'm sure you're not always thinking about retirement, but maybe have thoughts of moving to N GA near Iron Mountain where I have always lived. If you're like me, the thought of moving or downsizing your garage space or your fleet is terrifying as hell! I've considered a "barndominium" on family land, but it'd have to have a lift, maybe two, lots and lots of storage and a small space to eat and sleep. The other day my son asked about my feelings toward retirement and assisted living residency. I was shocked he would say that; however, I quickly replied that, in addition to the lift(s) and huge storage, I'd need a minimum of 15,000 square feet of shop space and maybe 1,000 sq. ft. to live in and eat as well as a large elevator or platform lift able to support a fully tricked out Hemi, rear end and several of my toolboxes -- sometimes I like to take my work home, work on things while watching Roadkill and Dukes of Hazard in my living room. As you advance in years you need to have the details in place, an accurate floor plan and structure your estate planning such that every damn penny goes away if family tries to put you in one of those places of 3,000 sq. ft., no lift and only a 2 car garage. It's well known among all named in my estate that if one detail is omitted every red cent goes to stop cat juggling in Mexico or midget tossing in Australia or is it Austria?
So your keeping the body? It was kinda confusing but if I could get my first car back again I would keep it that’s the stuff you’d miss the little things you can “fix” again but remember you did it 20 odd years ago now but 40-50 years ago for what I’m exampling. It’s really cool to tell the story it make it great for what it was then and bring it to what you always wanted!! I love this backstory
I was definitely interested in buying your cutlass. I may be interested in the role cage/chassis for my 86 cutlass, i am here in gainesville, it already has several of your parts from back in the day on it, might as well put the whole frame in it lol😅.
Kevin, I redo things on my Chevy OBS build all the time, whether it was done 5 years ago or 5 days ago. I just call the first attempt mockup or proof of concept. Better and different ideas or things just popup!!! The BBB-Bigger Badder Builds!!!
