@DesiraeK great question! I do on base curls on the top and sides and off base around the head. I roll them as far up as I can and then twist the ends as tightly as I can (as they loosen up). Then I secure it with a turban made ideally of jersey or something breathable, stretchy, but still close to the head. This will allow even the looser ones to stay in place. My trick to keep my ends from sticking out on my u shape haircut is to use perm papers.

Also how do you keep those pillow curlers so tight? Mine want to flop around and far away from my scalp.
