  • Hello! This is the continuation of my last video, in which I show you the specific tools I use to write down and record my games. If you would like to know more about them, please ask away!
    My R library can be found on www.github.com/rpg-tips/coren.
    The usual suspects:
    Mythic GME Discord server: / discord

    It's like mashing three of my geek hobbies together: solo gaming, RPGs, and coding

    Beautiful and highly efficient. I never thought of using a language like R for something like this. I’d like to explore the R Studio approach for my gaming sometime.

    You mention Shadow of the Demon Lord, you get a sub.
    Very helpful video. I will definitely be trying these methods out.

    Like the other videos another awesome one.
    I love this idea of righting the rolls and the way that is easy to generate the randonm table results using that programing language... i realy need to learn to do that :D
    Mind you to talk in any future video how do you adapt themes or any tips for example to get a book about low fantasy and turn into high tech story and monsters.
    Im kinda interested to to see how do you do combat (i know that may depend on the core rules you are using) for solo and gm-less and how do you balance in the way to not fell that you are cheating.
    Again, thanks for the awesome videos, hope to see more :)

      Personally I use GURPS 4e with Mythic GME. It has all of the content you could ever wish for and then some! Whether you so simple or complex.

    Really interesting way to play, I looked for other markdown editors and couldn't find a good substitute, but then decided to go ahead and make my own VSCode extension and fill it with tables from CRGE to start. It's JavaScript / TypeScript rather than Python but I'm hoping I can get the same effect.

    Again. Another nice video! Thanks for wrapping everything into a platform independent package like R. It is going to make things nicer for me when I am on the go!
    Quick question about the version of Mythic. I only have the original Mythic GME document. How different is the Mythic GME2?

      I made a video on the channel talking about Mythic Variations 2 and its differences to the base one, so you’ll find the answer there :)

    I'd love to know more about where/how you created you're dice rolling programs. Any chance we could see some of that code development on your channel?

      Hello there! You can check all of my functions on the github repo linked in the description! Though if what you're interested in is the actual ways that I code the functions, I'd advise you against it: I'm a terrible programmer! :D

    How do I add install.github("rpg-tips/RPGTips") to Editorial?

    • @RPGTips
      @RPGTips  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello David! Sorry if the instructions were confusing. The RPGTips library is for Rstudio, which is only for Mac/Windows/Linux. If you’re using Editorial, you should use my scripts, which you can find here: reddit.com/r/mythic_gme/comments/7vgz1w/editorial_scripts_for_playing_on_iphone_ipad_on/ Hope that solves it!

    Hi. I see Star Wars in the background and that made me assume that you like sci-fi. Maybe you've played some solo sci-fi (or, even better, cyberpunk) RPG that You could recommend? A system that works good for solo and all supporting materials that help to run it with tables and all that is needed for sci-fi solo RPG...

      Hello Marcus! Sadly, I'm currently unable to join a new game (I'm GMing two weekly ones!) but I'm sure you'll be able to find something over at www.reddit.com/r/lfg/, it's a subreddit devoted specifically to finding people to play with! :)

    Anyone knows a python alternative to when he uses R? I game on Windows, Linux and Android

    • @RPGTips
      @RPGTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everything I show was done by me, so if you got the time and energy you could easily replicate it in Python. The code itself is quite easy.

    • @Alberaan
      @Alberaan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RPGTips yeah, code is easy. I was asking about the environment. About markdown + execution results in the same document

    • @RPGTips
      @RPGTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah; I see. Actually, you can also use Python in Rstudio, so you could use it for Windows and Linux. For Android I don’t know any option, sadly.
