We're all getting old but God promises our lives will be full with HIM. You can see that truth working full force with the guys in Stryper and it is great to see them still at it today. I remember seeing their albums in my older brothers room when I was in my early teens and I would sneak all of my brothers cassettes out of his room and listen in my room for hours on end. I love music and it is truly a driving force in my life and it makes me happy to see Stryper doing so well still today.
I don't know of any band from any era that has a lead singer with such good vocals that can also play guitar on par with some of the best lead guitarists out there. He is so underrated.
Just like a good wine.. Stryper just keeps getting better with age! Brilliant song and top it off it couldn't have been released at a more meaningful time for me right now.
I remember in the early 90s jamming stryper full blast on my car stereo as I drove into Colorado to go to Bible College.....I was pumped!!!!!...and now as I'm pushing 60....I find myself still headbanging...to Blood From Above ....Wow......love you guys!
I've been a big Stryper fan since 1999, and I have all their albums. In my opinion, the quality of their songs and musicality is always improving. Blessed is Stryper. LOVE FROM INDONESIA.
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." -Isaiah 53:3
I never heard of them until To hell with the Devil. The first Rock Christian band I ever listened to. After the break up, I continued to listen to Michael Sweet. So glad they got back together. Love their old and new. I even love the Sweet and Lynch albums. Keep it up Stryper! You Rock!
really not for me for me is Mortifcation is the best one so far next to Saint , Stryper is cool to listen to them. Gotta get out more kid expand your horizon
There not a Christian band. They are a regular metal band and the members just has happen to be Christian. Michael sweet said it himself. If you Label yourself a Christian band you limit yourself To where you can play And reach out to
Amazing how it seems like they had some guardian angles who were watching out for them to keep them from the Hollywood rich and famous lifestyles or just the snairs of the devil all these years??? God blessed them 🙏 that's for sure, it was a horrible tragedy for Michael to lose his wife to cancer though. But even when it looks the darkest, he was somehow able to pull himself up and now like a perfectly aged fine wine these guys have matured. I've followed Stryper since the mid 80s, been to many concerts and their live performances were mind blowing in the fact they always seemed to sound even better live than on the recordings lol! Wore out properly about 4 In God We Trust tapes over that decade! My personal opinion which blew me away was hearing their newer albums, to me anyways, I believe their music is even better than it was back when they were younger and at the top of their pinical. Their songs and lyrics are so much more complex and deeper, also they have become a lot more progressive with their rhythms and riffs. Which also being a Dream Theater fan that is exactly my style of music. Not having a POS record label telling them how to play or what to sound like is also a very important important contributing factor for this change in how they've grown and matured like a fine tuned machine. Love everything about Stryper! Hope they can keep it coming 🙏 God please watch over your servents of heavenly heavy metal and keep them healthy and strong in this battle against the darkness over light we are engaged in. Let the Light prevail with your help and support the men and women on the front lines of this battle. Amen 🙏
Three songs into this album and I am seriously regretting never giving these guys a fair shake back in the 80s, when I was (well, OK, still am) a raging 14-year-old Slayer nut. I always thought "Ah, they're *Christian*, they're wusses." Well, 34+ years after the fact, these guys are still firing on all cylinders with 3/4 of the original lineup, still killing it, those harmony vocals still spot on, Michael Sweet still hitting those high notes with rock solid authority and being grittier with age as well...damn. I think I need to dig into their back catalog some more and give them some time to soak into my DNA. I'm not even remotely religious, but this is moving me. Thanks for keeping it positive and classy, fellows!
When I listen to their older music the only thing I can come up with is the "Dark forces" that surrounded my life back then prevented me from having an ear to hear (Mark 4:23) Love this band
I wasn't a practicing christian back in the 80s and 90s, but I loved Stryper. I had a hard time talking about it to any of my friends who may have been prejudice to their Christian fame. They're just rock solid musicians and a pleasure to listen to. Have you heard their EW&F cover?? It's the best cover song of all cover songs!

I just lost the love of my life because I had to say sorry one too many times... that and I was an obvious rebound after I came to my senses. Thanks Stryper for being there when I need good honest uplifting music. It's so hard because most music I listen to is so depressing or just makes me angry. That’s not an exaggeration, they are honestly the only band I can think of that arguably gets better in quality every album for the last decade. I think I heard they had the top reviewed “Rock” (all categories of rock”) album on amazon for like 2 years with No More Hell to Pay? Insane for a band from the 80’s
WOW.... Back in 1986 friends at School said.. That band will not last singing about GOD. But 32 years later still going strong and this is one of there best yet....
Stryper puts contemporary pop music to shame. The hard rock and heavy metal genre has so many innovative bands right now, and Stryper is the most innovative heavy metal band in my opinion. GDE has no filler tracks. I like it so much that I bought a copy of it for my niece.
