I would’ve had Bill and Ben instead of Thomas and Percy. But Duck and Oliver are still good. It is more that Thomas and Percy along with the other engines at Tidmouth Shed would have more appearances than the secondary characters from Series 5 onwards.

thomas and percy work their branchline.
bill and ben work the china clay.
and oliver and duck do odd yard work so they're mostly free
