I really love how you adapted this colour palette to suit your image. Very brave if you to colour such a complex image with a limited palette! But I agree that working from a palette allows you to step out of your usual comfort zone and maybe work with colour combinations that you wouldn’t usually consider. I think you did a wonderful job!
2nd time I have watched this video and thought you did a beautiful job. I have spent years trying to learn how to make up color pallets, but I haven't been able to color for all that time. This is because I can't make up a pallet out of thin air, even though I know if colors look good together or not when I see them together. I want to save up for Sarah's full bundle of the interactive version, the companion book and the new printed in color pallet cards that we can order to have the colors that her printer used in coloring the cards. you did such a beautiful job of showing us how to use the color pallet cards to help us to come up with a pallet, and how to vary some of the colors a bit . Using the white was not cheating at all. What in the world would the water have looked like with no waves. Thank you so much for another wonderful video.
Turned out great! Honestly I think using the white and black pencils would not be considered cheating...you've got to have something to adjust the tint and tone.

For a colour palette challenge I would cheat big time Eg. For each colour I would do 5 pencils 1) Match the colour, 2) pencil two shades lighter but in the same tone, 3) same tone but two shades darker, 4) lighter but warmer because of light source, 5) darker and cooler for shadows

Can someone who's purchased this let me know if they've found it useful and worth the money? For a while now I've just done Google searches for colour palettes and used them in my colouring books. I'm not being mean by saying this but what is this providing that you can't get by doing a Google search? Claire, was this video sponsored by the people who own this company and how many times do you use it yourself? I'm probably missing something with this product and really don't want this to come across as a nasty comment. I'm just wary when youtubers push products on their subscribers, that aren't really worth the money. I've seen this tons of times now and I think youtubers should be upfront when pushing a product on their fans and I think they should be willing to clarify (when asked) about the products value.
Hey, in my original review of the color catalog I did make it clear that these palettes can be found for free online. The difference is having all the palettes in one place, catagorised, where you can interactively select them based on keywords, individual colours and themes. It's just a handy tool that makes the process quicker & easier, but it's not an obligatory purchase. You also get the hex, RGB & CYMK codes so it can be used by interior designers, graphic designers and other fields aside from colouring. It's one of those things that you will either make use of or you won't, but I love it and use it lots in my personal colouring projects as well as fun videos like this xx

That came out beautiful! I never would have considered putting red with silver. Gold has always been my go-to for red.

Maybe make a test page? Copy the page you want to color and see how it Goes before doing it in the book? I know that helps me a lot
