Fr!!! First time I played the game it blew me away at every turn!!! And now playing a couple times now, I wish I could go back and experience for the first time again
That is how you play a game to feel the emotion the devs want you to live. You listen , you don't talk over cinematic and conversation, etc..Thanks for respect the work of people make games. Love to see this kind of playthrough. So thanks to you and respect!
Sitting there quiet, with a poker face, like an emotionless drone, isn't exactly entertaining to watch, if you want to watch a let's player... If I wanted to watch a no commentary walkthrough, I would watch MKIceAndFire or someone.....
i was so intrigue with the main story i skipped every intercation even stranger mission, but honestly thats the best way to play it for me. i get to enjoy and explore new stuff the next playthrough, knowing what happen so i converse everytime and try different things and get a different experience all over again
Do as much as possible. Do not rush the early game. I'll just add this, my first run took 212 hours, the story is about 70 hours plus or minus a few depending on what you count. There is so much more to this game than the story alone, playing it kinda like a simulator is by far the best way of you can just immerse yourself fully and take it SLOW. Even in 212 hours I didn't finish with 100% completion. I got 84.5% I think and I still had a whole lot to do in terms of side activities and collecting stuff. I don't think I missed any mission side quests, random stuff or anything really. Spoiler but not really, all I didn't finish was the hunting and fishing or card collecting.
It took me three playthroughs until I found the right (at least for me) balance between the events of the story and exploration. It takes a fair bit of thought to work out what you can do early on and what you can leave for later on. For me, it's a game that rewards multiple play-throughs as you learn something more each time and always discover something new. I really wish that Rockstar had created a next-gen version of this, it would have been so beautiful.
Some tips, if you don't mind: - Yes, RDR 2 is a prequel, set 12 years before the events of RDR 1. There's a LOT of connectivity between both games (characters, callbacks, themes...). - Take your time. Do the side-missions, 'cause some of them are quite important for Arthur's character. - If you acces Arthur's satchel, you can read his journal. It gives you insist to his thoughts and gives you a little backstory. You accidentally missed some first pages of his journal because you pressed the "CHAPTER" option instead of the "PAGE" option. So you only read the chapter 1 entries and skipped some other pages from before the events of chapter 1. - Don't go too fast during the "talking while horse riding" bits, 'cause you might skip some relevant dialogue if you reach the destination too fast (like what happened to you at the beginning when riding with Dutch and Micah, you arrived at Sadie's homestead too quickly and you didn't hear all of the dialogue. Don't worry though, you didn't miss anything too important in that instance, just Micah bitching about how our gang has "too many people" in it). If you keep the X button pressed, your horse will match your companion's speed, which is ideal for the "talking while horse riding" thing. If you keep taping the X, your horse will accelerate. - I recommend spending time in the gang's camps. As you've seen in camp Colter, there's a lot of dialogue, not only between Arthur and the other gang members, but also between the gang members themselves. You can learn more about them if you spend time in the camps. You did a really good job exploring and talking to everybody in Colter. - If you're having trouble distinguishing the gang members from each other, you can toggle an option in the menu to have their names in the subtitles when they speak.
Id also add to remember to press the buttons it gives you to look at the characters to speak to them cause she forgot to do that with Javier when looking for john and missed out on calling out for John. (not always necessary but can help add character to Arthur)
You will love Arthur, easily one of the best protagonists ever in a video game. Take it slow, this game is a one-time experience. Try to do side activities/missions they will immerse you more into the world. So excited to see you play the game Cyn!
Don’t worry about not having any insight on RDR1 before playing RDR2 as the game is a prequel set 11 years before the events of Red Dead Redemption (2010) in the same vein of the Original and Prequel Star Wars movies. RDR2 does show a couple of elements mentioned in the first game while 95% being a lot of new stuff being brought to the table which us RDR1 players had no idea about. In RDR1 the past of the protagonist (not going to mention in case it’s spoilers) is very limited all we knew was that our character was in a gang something went down in the town of Blackwater and a Ferry was involved around 11 years before the event of the game. This is pretty much the opening of RDR2 set maybe a couple of days after the Blackwater Massacre an event mentioned a few times in RDR1. Before RDR2 was released around when the first trailer came out in Oct 2016 doesn't seem that long ago I thought the whole of RDR2 was going to build up to the Blackwater Massacre this being the end game and when everything went wrong but surprisingly we start right after it heading North East from Blackwater over the Mountains into the East. The State of West Elizabeth was featured in RDR1 with the regions of Great Plains where Blackwater was located and Tall Tree's to the West of Great Plains but this was it you couldn't ride anymore North or East as the Upper Montana river acted as the border the end of the map with visual land on the other side you couldn't explore even a few mountains which kind of do line up with what you see in RDR2. In RDR2 this has changed and they've added a new region called Big Valley just North of Great Plains and Tall Tree's just across the Upper Montana River. Big Valley connects to all the new states so when yo do travel to West Elizabeth Big Valley will be the first region you enter. Pretty much everything above the Upper Montana River is new while everything below is from RDR1. Most of RDR1 was set in New Austin this being the main state based on Texas and New Mexico having a much more classic western feel. I’ve mentioned Star Wars because there’s many ways you can watch the films one being Original trilogy and then the prequels release order (RDR1 and then RDR2) or you could watch the prequels first then the original trilogy (RDR2 and then RDR1) both ways are great giving you two different points of views when you watch the next trilogy. Once you play RDR1 after experiencing RDR2 you’ll know stuff we at the time had no idea about which could make your experience even better while we in 2010 experienced the mystery wondering what the past of our protagonist was like the journeys they’ve been on and the places they’ve been. On a side note we didn't play as Arthur in RDR1 but not sure if i want to mention who we play as for spoiler reasons. Us RDR1 players then jumped into RDR2 and right away had more insight of some of the characters and events (Blackwater Massacre, State of West Elizabeth, and the town of Blackwater) mentioned but had no idea where we were and how we got here along with 80% of these gang members being characters we didn’t know. Pretty much we had no idea who Arthur was or how the journey would end in this new land North and East of Blackwater which was the end of the map in RDR1. We travelled into the unknown and it was exciting I always wondered what the landscape beyond the Upper Montana River (North of Blackwater cuts the border across the land in the original game) was and with RDR2 we finally found out.
AHHHH !!! my fav game of all time, so excited i started to tear up lol, gonna watch the ep first then comment some tips. (spoiler free ofc) rdr2 takes place before rdr1 so dw about not understanding stuff. it’s how i played it, i had watched my dad play it when it came out but i have a horrible memory so i didn’t remember ANYTHING from the first so it was like going in blind. some advice would be to enjoy the game and not rush through it, now i’ve never seen you do that with a game tbh but i mean read arthur’s journal, do side quests, talk to the camp members, it truly is a once in a lifetime experience to play this game for the first time and i wish i could go through it again. try to ride slower than you usually might to not cut off convo, and in the settings you can add names to subtitles so you can learn the characters names and voices faster. anyways i’m so excited for another episode !! you’re gonna love the world and characters, more than i can tell you already do.
Sorry it's taken me so long to see this! A friend is playing mod right now and refuses to let me see my own comments until they are spolier free😂 I'm really excited to just take it slow. I've heard that this game is packed with missions and encounters around the map so you don't get bored while adventuring (which is what unfortunately has thrown me off Ghost for a bit). I figured I wouldn't need to much knowledge of RDR1. I know from my brother that RDR1 focuses on Marston, but not much outside of that.
Best game ever created imo. The controls and gameplay can take a bit of getting used to (it's pretty intricate) especially if you haven't played RDR1, but it'll feel completely natural soon enough. Make sure you do all of the little things, like talking to your gangmates at camp whenever possible, reading Arthur's journal whenever possible, and doing all of the sidequests. Everything extra that you do rounds out the characters and makes the world feel alive. A good RDR2 playthrough is a long playthrough. Also: a common mistake I always see from new players is aiming their gun at a person that they're trying to talk to. Make sure your weapon is holstered by tapping L1 unless you're in combat. Lastly: there's a whole chapter of Arthur's journal pre-Blackwater that you missed.
Please I'm just looking for someone reliable to at times for a posse with. The AHoles in this game can be a bit of an annoyance...they coward you at least expected times...will be nice to have someone covering your back in this game...OF COS, I'LL cover yours
True mate how the hell I ain't killed anyone through gun misfire is unbelievable 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm a late starter in this game but you know what they say better late than never 👌
You're only going to fall more in love with it as the story goes on... It's a gorgeous game with a beautiful story... I've played the story 3 times already... Take your time and be thorough it's going to be worth it I promise you that
I love watching Cyn play this. Obviously, a gamer adapts quickly to the controls, keeps her commentary minimal but still able to express her thoughts....and finally, I love her expressive facial reactions and body language.
"Arthur! Get over here!" NO I died. Savage. You're pretty good at this. Love the first episode. Hope you'll stick with the "most wonderful man on earth" good guy high honor playthrough. I know you're 7 episodes into the series but if you haven't done so already make sure to slow the pace down during any riding sequence with other members of the gang or other people, you'll get a lot of the insights that way. Also, make sure to visit the camp, talk with the members and hang around a bit after every story mission. 90% of the backstory, gang relationships and how the community develops overall are shown this way. And YES, the journal is a must, make sure to flip "pages" not "chapters" since you might miss out on stuff; check it every now and then maybe at the end of an episode, few pages at a time
Yay!!!!! my favorite game, I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your reactions to this amazing game! My recommendation would be to take the game slow. Get to know the characters and do the side quests , read Arthurs journal and most important of all, have fun :) Edit, and dont worry about not playing the first one, red dead 1 takes place after the events of red dead 2
I gotta say, I LOVE both your reactions to the events, commentary and the fact that you actually explore and pick up stuff, this game is all about exploring and picking up stuff, too bad I was not aware of your channel when you were playing this
I can't get enough of this game apparently. I'm watching another playthrough and I just started playing again myself. Have fun :D Looking forward to your videos, I think I'm going to like your style. Some non-spoiler tips: If you loose your hat you can always find it in your saddle items menu. Don't worry about dropping a gun you like to pick up a new one, all your guns will stay in your horse inventory.
oh wow! I'm hype! having followed all throughout your ME trilogy, I wasn't expecting this but it's a fantastic surprise. Rockstar are the best technical developers of the open world format by far, and RDR2 is the latest state of their art
its actually crazy how much you notice watching/playing for the 2nd time. Few do it better than rockstar and this is probably their best ever work. I'd gladly pay as much as the game cost to see this as a film
This game ripped my heart out eight ways from Sunday, and dragged it through the wringer. Yet, I always love replaying it. It's good to see you doing a playthrough. I look forward to seeing what shenaniganry you get up to
I've said this on many occasions but, despite my few times chatting in streams prior, I consider this playthrough to be where I actually integrated myself into your community. This is where I came to know you as a content creator: what you're all about, your thoughts, opinions, reactions to specific situations whether good or bad. In RDR2, we all know those things come at a very high degree due to the game's structure and story, and I can assure you that you never disappointed with how you carried yourself throughout this series. It was an honor back then when I watched, and it remains one of my favorite RDR2 playthroughs not only for the content of the game but due to the heart of the person who brought it to life. Thank you again for everything you do, the effort you put in, and the community you've created. We've been on one wild ride, since then.
I got this game when it came out out and couldn’t really get into it, but I decided to give it another chance and now I’m kicking myself in the ass, because it’s one of the greatest games ever made. I love it.
When I thought "Oh, this girl plays bioshock... nice, I could use a round of that as kinda background noise at the moment" I did not expect to actually actively watch you play through all three of them, be so invested in you figuring all of it out and stay on this channel for red dead 2. But I did. And here we go. Great videos, cyn! Love your way to comment and play these. Well, try to stay warm!
Now one thing people get confused with: cores. Think of your cores like a Snickers commercial. You're not you when your cores are empty. Eat to fill cores. Drink to fill bars. If your health core is empty, your health bar won't refill and will eventually drop. Your aim will also be shaky.
You say you’ve avoided “pretty much all the spoilers”, but which ones did you not avoid 👀 Excited to watch your play through! Also a tip: when walking or riding with gang members during missions and whatnot, try not to keep tapping to sprint or go too quickly. You’ll miss a lot of dialogue because you arrive at your destination too soon. Just hold x and go at the pace they were already setting. And it’s not a spoiler since it doesn’t pertain to the story, but don’t sell the cards you find yet. There’s a man you meet later that pays very well if you find complete sets of cards and sell to him as sets.
Happy to have you here! As for spoliers, I know the story continues with John Marston in RDR1. I'm unsure what that means for Arthur, but I assume he passes sometime between 1 and 2. I also know that John dies in RDR1 but I don't know the circumstance and I'm assuming it won't be relevant for this game. A friend told me I could find the devil (?) somewhere and there is an alien sighting- I assume these two are just random encounters and not story related though😅 Thus, I will be going alien hunting and trying to summon the devil at some point.
@@Cynthetic yayyyy not anything too major has been spoiled then. :) you’re in for a ride with this game!! Fair warning, it is definitely a slow burn.. the first couple chapters are world building and letting you get to know the characters. Later into chapter 3 is where the story starts to really pick up the pace.
@@dylanholman3 Oh and there's a vampire! I'm a little obsessed with vampires and my friend used that knowledge as leverage to get me to play😂 Very excited to not only play the story, but find all of these random encounters.
I'm so glad I came across your playthrough of this! RDR2 is the the best game ever made, and I love watching people play it for the first time! Enjoy yourself, take it slow, and talk to everyone you can. The depth of the story and characters are absolutely incredible. Outlaws For Life!
i love this game. best advice i can give is to take your time with it. dont rush. and also, this is the biggest thing(at least for me), EXPLORE. this game is visually stunning. the nature, the wildlife, the interactions... it is so lush it literally feels alive. im a nature nut so the nature aspect in this game truly gave me another appreciation for it. i could play this game for hours and just be hunting, fishing, camping.. it's my go to when i need a little escape from the real world/mental break. i look forward to your playthrough!
@@booty_clapper6933 It's two hours. She played most of chapter 1 in this video alone. It's not the game's fault you're so bad at it that it takes you 5 hours to complete the "tutorial" section. 🤷
I could never get tired on how many times , that i have lost count reacting to new playthroughs ,on watching rdr2 , plus take notes that when in conversations in horses , slow it down , because there may be some dialogues that you might miss , theres also the option that shows the name in the subtitles dialogue

This game will literally bring every emotion out of you throughout the story, side missions, and everything else involved. I’ve never played a game that effected me the way this game did! Get ready for the ride of your life (no pun intended)
That's how I feel about Witcher 3, have you ever played that? I look forward to playing the story side of RDR2 as I never have yet, was too eager to jump into online so I've played that a bit.
@@winkmurder yea I’ve played the Witcher a little bit but I felt like it was hard to get immersed in it. I’ve heard people who’ve played it all the way through, loved it. Maybe I’ll give it another try
I am so happy to see you playing this for the first time. As others have already said, take it slow and savor everything. I recommend playing with a good surround sound headset for full immersion. This game is a true epic & master piece. You will not be disappointed.
I'm so late to the party watching this playthrough. Was feeling so nostalgic for rdr2 but have too many things to do to replay myself. Absolutely loving this playthrough! It's so thorough like I play it, and I can't help but laugh at the easy-going commentary :D
One of my favorite lines of Arthur’s is when you first run out of Stamina. Unlike some players, YOU ate something asap, howeve, if you don’t and kept walking, 34:21 then Javier asks how you are doing. Arthur says something like what’s it look like “I’m miserable.” His grovel is the best lol Then Javier tosses you some whiskey to recharge your stamina core.
Thank you! Ive desperately been looking for a playthrough like this! Attentive, Slow, thoughtful, and perceptive. Of course it helps you are cute too lol. Quite the charming person to watch and cant wait to see you enjoy a game i love for the first time.
Wow, I was going to suggest this on a Ghost of Tsushima video to see how much RDR2's beautiful nature distracts you like the foxes. Plus the story is a masterpiece of course
Btw horse bonding is a little bit more complicated than patting it. Bonding level 1 showed up because that's the level you start with when you start any interaction with a horse. Patting it is to calm it down from gunshots and predators and also wild horses get spooked when you first approach them (some more so than others, like the white arabian) but it does increase bond too slightly over time. Riding with your horse, walking your horse with the reigns, feeding it and grooming it is all necessary to bonf with your horse better.
Yep and if you remember to take the time to do a combo of feed/brush/pat/lead every time you mount or dismount the horse for a trip, as well as constantly hit that calm button while riding about every 15-20 seconds that bond will get to lvl 4 pretty fast off just that alone. I think I bonded to lvl 4 with 3 horses by the end of the game doing that. Then I realized I should have waited til the epilogue lol.
The reason I love people playing this game for the first time in 2022 Brings joy to my heart because it reminds me that The legacy of story mode is all well unlike online it’s like a war zone on online Rockstars treating it like it’s unwanted #SaveRedDeadOnline One of the other reasons is the music is just so great it reminds me of when I first heard that Battle theme in the prologue I knew that the game was going to be good this is my favorite game I mean the story mode of this game is just perfect everything about it
That’s awesome! I literally found ur channel 2 days ago and I have already watched all of ur god of war playthrough videos. Rdr2 is one of the games I had hoped u would play (fallout is one of the others😉).
Just found your channel. Really enjoying that you to take the time to talk to everone, that's where you find the heart and soul of this game, imo, in the relationships between the different people in the gang. Very excited for the rest and subscribing for sure! Much love, Kim xoxo
I'm a bit late here, but *this* is the playthrough I've been looking for!! Really appreciate how thorough you are, and you're reactions are hilarious too - I'll be sticking around for the rest for sure, and will definitely recommend this to people! :)
You are playing the game just the rightest way. Don't skip any conversations, cos they are gold. Always ride your horse as slow as possible when you are doing something with gang members. Found you and this playthrough by chance, and subbed immediately. Good work girl, keep it up and have fun. (You'll surely have)
Just a quick tip , after looting places like chests , cabins etc. Always close it back up. That way , if you decide to come back to the same place it re - stocks it.
eeeee i'm so excited to see your first reaction to the game !!! It's got such a good storyline. Also, your aim is rlly good, especially for aiming with a controller. I always just panic and shoot the air wildly
You seem like a calm, safe player, glad I found you. RDR2 is my absolute favorite game. Got it 100% complete! I'm really excited to see how you will experience this masterpiece. Immediately subscribed to your channel.
I also am playing for the first time. Started mid last year and im just taking my time through it. One thing i would say is i spent a very long time in the next camp you will go to. There is so much to do. Biggest advice. Go see Pearson and hunt for all the things you need for the Legend Satchel so you can carry a lot more, It was annoying to only carry a small amount before that. thats it, not going to spoil anything. I personally love the game and im sure you will also. good luck.
Incredible video cyn, I'm going to enjoy watching you play through this amazing game. Keep being awesome. Morgans three favourite phrases try to stay warm, hang in there, try not to worry.
Let me just say...you're in for quite the ride...RDR2 is probably the best single player game I've ever played story-wise. I wish I could go back and play it again for the first time...so damn good
Best open world game to exist thus far! I’ve been playing it since release and I’m still finding things here and there. Ntm the story itself is just as good if not better than most blockbuster movies.
Just finished your GOW play through and now I get to watch you play my personal favorite game of all time! Can’t wait! Also yes, you should be fine playing this game before the first.
Whatever you do, do not rush this game. If you drive a wagon (is coming up soon) take your time, don't rush, enjoy the music, the story, the surroundings. This game is an absolute masterpiece with an insane level of detail, it deserves nothing less
Hey Cynthetic, A Tip About This Game You Can Literally Do Anything In This Game, Almost Anything. So If You Ever Get The Thought, “I Wonder If I Can Do That? Try It Because The Answer Is Probably Yes, You Can Shoot Or Rob Almost Anyone You Want And In Some Cases Changes The Story. I Would Recommend Playing This Game And Keeping Arthur With Low Honor Or (In The Red) For The Best Possible Ending. Which Means Doing Some Illegal Or Just Messed Up Stuff Sometimes. Fun Tip: Get Creative With Your Kills, You Can Take Someone Out In Many Different Ways, Hog Tie Someone, Throw Em In Water, In Front Of A Train Or Stick A Dynamite On Them, Have Fun With It And Spend All Your Money, No Need To Save Up For Anything.

@@John-996 Same!
Some tips, if you don't mind:
- Yes, RDR 2 is a prequel, set 12 years before the events of RDR 1.

This is and always will be my favourite game. Enjoy it, take it slow as you only get one chance to play this masterpiece for the first time 🥺
This channel is pretty underrated. You are one of those streamers that actually pay attention to the game.
Pro tip, interact with your horse often (petting, feeding, leading and eventually brushing) this will help with full bonding levels.

A big part of where having insight on rdr1 comes in is the epilogue, that part is made for the rdr1 vets.
AHHHH !!! my fav game of all time, so excited i started to tear up lol, gonna watch the ep first then comment some tips. (spoiler free ofc)
rdr2 takes place before rdr1 so dw about not understanding stuff. it’s how i played it, i had watched my dad play it when it came out but i have a horrible memory so i didn’t remember ANYTHING from the first so it was like going in blind.
some advice would be to enjoy the game and not rush through it, now i’ve never seen you do that with a game tbh but i mean read arthur’s journal, do side quests, talk to the camp members, it truly is a once in a lifetime experience to play this game for the first time and i wish i could go through it again.
try to ride slower than you usually might to not cut off convo, and in the settings you can add names to subtitles so you can learn the characters names and voices faster.
anyways i’m so excited for another episode !! you’re gonna love the world and characters, more than i can tell you already do.
@@randomasiankid017 That so?

Have you played all the GTA games yet?
You're only going to fall more in love with it as the story goes on... It's a gorgeous game with a beautiful story... I've played the story 3 times already... Take your time and be thorough it's going to be worth it I promise you that
This is great. Cynthetic starting out on a game I want to watch. A soothing oasis of calm , rational sanity in a world going mad.
I love watching Cyn play this. Obviously, a gamer adapts quickly to the controls, keeps her commentary minimal but still able to express her thoughts....and finally, I love her expressive facial reactions and body language.
"Arthur! Get over here!"
NO
I died.
And YES, the journal is a must, make sure to flip "pages" not "chapters" since you might miss out on stuff; check it every now and then maybe at the end of an episode, few pages at a time
I love watching new players go through their first play through , it’s fun to see their take on the characters and how they act towards them
Yay!!!!! my favorite game, I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your reactions to this amazing game!
My recommendation would be to take the game slow.
Get to know the characters and do the side quests , read Arthurs journal and most important of all, have fun :)

Don't worry about dropping a gun you like to pick up a new one, all your guns will stay in your horse inventory.
oh wow! I'm hype! having followed all throughout your ME trilogy, I wasn't expecting this but it's a fantastic surprise.

its actually crazy how much you notice watching/playing for the 2nd time.
I look forward to seeing what shenaniganry you get up to
30:04 LOL LOL Love the reaction! Holding that composure, well done.

Tip: Keep at least 1 horse reviver on you at all times. Can be bought from stores when you can make purchases.
You say you’ve avoided “pretty much all the spoilers”, but which ones did you not avoid 👀
Excited to watch your play through!

1:17:50 'oh Arthur do you have any other closing statements?'
she's going to be too well acquainted with the meme in no time
Btw horse bonding is a little bit more complicated than patting it.
You have quite the journey ahead of you. Can't wait to see where you end up!
So excited to watch you play this. I've been loving your telltale & detroit gameplays. Thanks Cyn!
