This is a case of child abuse and grooming. This Lawyer took advantage of her and never loved her. Jagero please in such interviews make it clear that this is abuse and crime and explain why it is so that anybody listening can understand the same and maybe save themselves or someone else. Our society still does not understand these things. I’ve already seen someone in the comments saying she accepted it. A child cannot consent to sex or grooming. A lot needs to be done still. Having these conversations so raw like this is definitely a step in the right direction. Keep up the good work
Your point about consent is absolutely correct. A child cannot consent to sexual activity under any circumstances. It is exploitation and abuse. We encourage anyone who is experiencing or has experienced abuse to seek help. There are resources available. Please don't hesitate to reach out to a trusted adult, a hotline, or a mental health professional. We also value your feedback and will continue to strive for discussions that promote awareness and understanding of these critical issues.
One thing i have noticed is that Children do well under the care of both parents. Once its a single parent status. Thats it. Regardless whether its a dad or a mum.
Irene’s mum failed her terribly How did she allow all this to happen to the daughter I rarely even let my gals parambulate around their uncles alone I only trust their father and no other man around my gals This mom needs kuchunwa masikio
That's purely child abuse from the lawyer. I simply can't wrap my head around that. There was no love there... It's a child with dad issues and he took advantage of her.
I wouldn't question the mother. Especially hearing what the hell her mother had gone through with her father and culminating into the father committing suicide. Trauma and excruciating pain have a way of numbing people such that they just flow with time and life, and the sense of caring just goes out of the window.
Why did you turn off comments in part 2? Anyway, pls invite Alliet and Probably Amerix (on zoom) to disect this episode and probably the book. There's so much there to digest. I have a son, i am afraid that he may fall in love with a girl and then 10 years later the girl claims that the consent she gave was not very consensual. Also she said the father was violent. I am as meek as a lamb, but been in a situation i almost slapped a girl. Most women have the same attitudes as their mom. Could her mom's personality have enabled what she went thru, and even the father's "violence?" Alliet!!
I know of hundreds of mothers' who have taken their daughters for prostitution. Why does she extend grace to her mom and non to her dad who committed suicide? Even in death, the man finds no grace. Aliet Please. www.youtube.com/@unpluggedvip375
We appreciate your interest in the episode and your concerns. We disabled comments for Part 2 to manage the volume and focus on the content itself. We're always open to feedback and consider suggestions for future episodes. Inviting Alliet and Probably Amerix is a great idea! Their perspectives would undoubtedly enrich the conversation. We'll consider them for upcoming episodes. Your concerns about consent and violence are valid and reflect the nature of the issues we discussed. We can, and need to, approach these topics with empathy and understanding. We encourage open dialogue and critical thinking. The influence of parents on their children's worldview is essential, especially when we acknowledge the potential impact of parental figures. People are also autonomous beings capable of making their own choices, including learning from the past and living a better and more meaningful life.
She sounds some how delulu, she said she was in form 1 at 12 years, then forgot and said she was 16 when she met the lawyer, then said she finished high school at 17
We'll look into the specific details and clarify any inconsistencies in a future episode or through a dedicated Q&A session. Your feedback helps us improve.

I would listen to Wonder allllll day. Your innocence was taken away... You knew too much as a child. Saying outright that you wanted the lawyer to be your boyfriend is way too bold for a 16 year old. It would be interesting to know what life experiences actually led to this. Your story doesn't actually begin with the lawyer...

Thanks Jagero for such honest and raw conversations. I really enjoyed this one
Any time!
Jagero is asking the right questions. Kudos 👏🏾

I just felt provoked, angered, mad, mixed feelings and as a 22 year old girl I feel like parents really fail us 😭 tutafute pesa guys😂😂😂
I like Jagero’s innocence. He’s like “You did? You do?” 😂😂😂😂Jagero, Nairobi men are not good people.
It's very endearing LOL

I don’t like some questions he asks?
Great teaching moments. Awesome story. Thanks my brother for the expose
Thanks for listening
I am really enjoying this conversation and Irene`s vulnerability. The lawyer definitely took advantage of her and he was cheating on his wife.
An honest observation. Thanks for watching.

Here the mum knew definitely ..but she was ok as long as she was taken to school and money was following in...she's to blame too...
Please share more on why you think so?
Grown-ups in this 16 year old's life failed her 😢
Why would a mother trust a stranger with her daughter 😢😢 to me something is not adding up
What are your thoughts on the factors that might influence a parent's decision in such a situation?
Yes, the mother failed her..
